Mangala cinema used to be one of the foremost best theatres in Pune and it is still. It is AC has a stereophonic sound, the auditorium is good.
But the canteen sure can be snazzed up.This was before It was converted to multiplex.I have not visited the theater since then. But in the good old days when it was a single screen cinema, it was very good. The seats are good and staff reasonably friendly. The crowd is decent, too.
I hope nothing has changed.The only downside is that the location is a bit downmarket type. But considering it is in shivajinagar, which is one of the most expensive areas in pune, it will be a better place to hang out, too.
The cinemas shown are also of a good class. You will never find ramsey's purani haveli sort of things here.
One wish is that they could screen English movies too. if they could do that, consider myself booking a ticket there, folks.
This is classy cinema and not snazzy like inox or esquare. Recommended for family viewing.
