Whats Not Cool With LG Semiautomatic Washing Machi
May 03, 2014 06:45 PM 177905 Views

Based on my experience with my previous semi automatic machine(Videocon which lasted for 15 years) I decided to go for a new one, because there are fewer features in a semi automatic machine the life is far better.

I went ahead and purchased a 7.2 kg model from LG stable, the delivery was good but to my disappointment the machine made way too much noise(far far more than my old one).

I used the machine on the second floor gallery in my house and I am able to hear it work from parking:(, the machine which was displayed during the demo(purchase at reliance digital) was too silent. This prompted me to  raise a service request at LG customer care, their engineer came and discovered a couple of loose screw and nut in the machine body which he removed, the noise however would not go down.

I called up the customer care the second time, this time they tried fixing the inner plastic rotor(on floor of the machine which rotates when it operates) but alas the machine again started giving loud sounds after 2 days.

The next  time when I called up LG, their service engineer refused to acknowledge the fact that there is a problem just because he wasn't able to figure out where the noise came from in his word in hindi "agar pata hi nahi chale ki awaaz kahan se aa rahi hain, to theek kya karein", this wasn't something I wanted to hear, I paid about 10k for the machine which didn't work without an issue for a single day, he later discovered that the plastic cover behind the machine vibrated and caused the noise, to my surprise the solution from LG service center for this was to stick cello tape on it:)

I agreed to it, unfortunately enough the sound issue wasn't resolved, despite my repeated attempts in vain to convince the engineer to visit the showroom(next to my house) with me to see the difference in sound the engineer now refuses any sound issues. there is still an open request with LG for the last 3 weeks without any activity.

Talk about customer care from an electronic king, I regret the fact that I went blind and was strongly biased to buy LG machine(since I already have a microwave, fridge etc) thinking that it would all be good.

Today reliance digital refuses to change the machine and so does LG, I sit here and write this review with my bank account lighter by 10k waiting for my neighbors to come and complain about my machine.
