I live in Malcha Marg, right next to Fujiya. I have been going there since I was a baby and I remember the food being finger licking good.
My favorite combination used to be Shrimp fried rice and chilli chicken(gravy). I grew up on this combination. Sometimes I would order just the fried rice and eat it with the chilli sauces that were packed. And I would love it.
However the original chefs have long since gone and the new chefs who took over did not have the same skill. In the past 2 months I have ordered from the restaurant 3 times and each time I have been disappointed. The veg Manchurian sauce just does not taste as good, the fried rice does not have it's own taste and the noodles seem to have a funky smell.
Overall my advise to people would be to try Lotus Garden next door or stick with the House of Ming at the Taj Mansingh(still my favorite Chinese restaurant, although I have not eaten there for almost 3 years now).
Hope you find this helpful.
PS: I have become vegetarian over the past year but the non-veg dishes that I used to order prior to that still did not taste good.
