I was looking for a camera which is affordable . I found fuji had one which offers all basic functions and is inthe above 5 mp class. The pictures have good colour quality and it lets you specify modes for different uses like portrait for close ups, landscape, night , and auto if you are a keen photographer then there are three modes you would like, Prograamable,shutter and aperture plus a manual where you can set your choices.
There are numerous options available like voice recording and movies ( on a 16 mb card the max . time is 5 mins) , ISO settings( 80 to 400),self timer, photometry, white balance, red eye reduction,chrome, black and white.
FOr the unitiated like me, I get to select teh proper mode and zoom ( 1.4 to 3.6) which it does automatically and click to get a good quality picture.at 640 X 480 I can fit in 122 frames on my 16 mb card. Thats a good number . pluse I get the benefit of an optical zoom as well.
I would recommend Ni MH rechargeable batteries as they only last for about 50 shots.
I hope ths was some help , excue me for not adding the finer details as I am not familiar with all the functionalities it offers . There are so many technical terms in this large 110 page manual that comes along with it. and you get accesories like usb and av cables but no carry bag.
