I purchased a front loading IFB washing machine a few years ago. While the machine itself is fairly good, their service in Hyderabad is pathetic. For almost one week now, I have been trying to get service for the machine which is not going through the spin cycle. A simple problem? Not when you try to get it resolved.
I made a complaint with their service provider on Saturday, the 5th October 2013. From the same lady I took the name of the franchisee who would attend to the machine. It happened to be the same franchisee, M/s D. A. Associates with whom we also have an Annual Maintenance Contract. I contacted them and requested that the technician attend to the machine the next Sunday as I work on the rest of the days.
This was promised. No technician came. After two days when I followed up, the call center told me the complaint had been closed. They insisted I make a new complaint. This time I took the name of the service manager, an IFB employee. Tried to contact her and found her phone to be always busy. Again, I contacted the franchisee and requested the technician at 7 pm that day. Again, this was promised, and no one turned up.
Now, at 10 a.m. on a weekday, all their contact numbers that I have, mobiles as well as land lines are switched off. And the problem is still not resolved.
My heartfelt advice to all prospective customers. Avoid IFB like the plague. Their service is pathetic. Can you imagine any service provider whose weekly holiday is Sunday? Well, come to D. A. Associates and you will see this. Call even their land line after 7 p.m.on a weekday, and you get a recorded message that it is switched off.
