'Friends' is back... Review on Friends

This is about one of the most popular comedy series'Friends' that everybody already knows about. I am writing this review because, to my delight, it has started again on Comedy Central Channel, from season 1 onward. So those who haven't seen it or want to see it from the starting, can watch it at 9 pm to 10 pm on Comedy Central. It is repeated several times on this channel.

It is about 6 friends: Ross, Chandler, Joey, Rachel, Monica and Pheobe. Ross and Monica are siblings. Its a comedy that also shows their emotions, romantic involvements, pranks, silliness, gradual progress in their careers and so on.

They are all based in Manhattan. While Monica lives in a spacious apartment, where her friends keep moving in and out, Joey and Chandler live in the flat, across the hall in the same building.

When everyone is not gathered in these two flats, then they hang out in a nearby Coffeehouse'Central Perk'. Interestingly, the one and only sofa set is always available for this group, to sit and chit chat.:)

Friends series was aired from 1994 to 2004. It has 10 seasons, each one promising hilarious comedy every time. e.g. in one of the last episodes, when Rachel had already boarded the plane to Paris and Ross wanted to stop her, Phoebe asks Rachel to get off the plane as she felt there was a technical problem with the plane's left phalange when actually there was no such thing. Rachel repeats the same on her phone in the plane and scoffs. But her fellow passengers hear it, there is commotion and the plane had to be stopped due to panicked passengers. This was an exaggeration but then who cares.

This series was so popular that there is guest appearances of famous stars like Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, George Clooney, Charlie Sheen, Ben Stiller, Bruce Willis and so on, from time to time.

All though the series, each of the friend is shown having various affairs, sometimes with one another. Some of them even got married to each other.

I feel it is quite different from our culture. Like, in Friends, the relations with the parents is always shown as a little distant as compared to with friends. But then we just have to enjoy their comedy and have a good time.

Though I have seen all seasons, I am enjoying it again on Comedy Central, after a long time.
