I have a very pathetic experience with Freelancer.com.Of course, when you start out as freelancer, the first website you turn to is Freelancer.com.
Yes, it has large collection of databases of clients and customers, and you might find your first project there but when you start making money out of it, the website really shows its true colors.
First of all, there are lot of fake clients who are ready to cheat innocent freelancers. There is no system of fair work as anybody can cheat anybody over there. Also, while accepting projects, they charge you. When you get paid by client, they want share. When you want to upgrade, they charge you. When you want to clear the tests, they charge you.
Merit doesn't get rewarded over there but who can pay the highest money is yardstick of success. When your account starts making money, they will start finding reasons to block your account and "USURP" your hard earned cash. First, you have to wait for weeks(or months) to get your money delivered to the bank from Express Transfer.
When the date finally arrives, they will extend the date due to their convenience because of "blah-blah-blah" reasons. The online chat support is useless once they get bored of you.
As if fake clients were not enough, freelancer is itself a big CHEAT company.
P.S: I am not dissuading new lancers to keep away from it, but if you really want to make a successful business, Freelancer.com is NOT worth your time in long run. They are biggest cheaters. Rest depends on you.
