Gone are the days, when you were required to visit the local baniya shop for a recharge or even very small denominations, then came websites like paytm and freecharge and now their apps. I used to be a user of paytm, which changed after two three incidents of non receipt of recharges(and late recharges).
I was introduced to freecharge during a promotional contest they held and soon warmed up to it. I dont use their website any longer, but have shifted to their app.(Couldnt find their app on MouthShut and hence writing on the website, but their service remains of the same quality on both the platforms)
The app was top notch until its recent update where they went for a complete overhaul of the User Interface which I found really unnecessary but nevertheless it has been doing its job brilliantly and I have never had complaints with it, It has also brought in some new features that copies the OTP directly by accessing the SMS and saves your favorite contacts for faster retrieval which is good, the color scheme also looks nice, got the snapdeal effect on it.
The app does lag a bit, but maybe its because our 3G speeds are pathetically low, I dont know whether this app will work well in rural areas where our networks are shoddy.They should test it in real world conditions so that it can benefit the masses. I would recommend their website and app for anyone who wants to recharge, it is better than visiting those telecom websites which are not well designed or very slow in working
