Freecharge was initially acquired by snapdeal but prior to that it was an independent entity. It lets users do mobile recharges , bill payments, dth recharges etc.
There were various offers on their platform earlier which gave a coupon for every recharge reedeemable in various offline stores at dirt prices.
These products ranged from apparel to food and even movie tickets
Gradually their offers reduced.
I used it mainly for recharges. Many stores use this for accepting payment from customers.
Their app is easy to use with good user interface. Their customer service is fairly apt.
They have now been acquired by Axis bank. It remains to be seen as to how they expand their user base .
