Story:

One of my friends who knows that I read a lot of books recommended this book and I purchased it the first time I saw it, although not knowing what was in it!

The book is interesting and starts directly with the hero, It takes sometime for us to realize that the hero of the story is not Peter Keating but is Howard Roark. The character portrayed by the hero is interesting, but it is quite difficult to believe that such a person can exist. Although once I read the book, it made me feel more objectively and from that day although I have some resistance still I am thinking with Lesser prejuidices, than I used to. Dominique's character is a difficult to understand and I needed to use the sparknotes on the web to anlayze her character, but it is an interesting read.

The story is good and interesting and in the third person like many American writers, it reflects the high quality writing of Ayn Rand, and is too obvious. If u are a thrill lover and poet then this is not ur cup of tea, it suits more to a person who likes to be bold and frank. Things said seem to be clear, but have more meaning to it than shown. The maturity and the understanding the reader has can make large differences in the meaning of the book. I as a 24 year old may not grasp something that a person of my father's age would! I mean to say it is different for different audience and is very typical about Rand. This was the first book that I read and then started reading reviews in the net!

I am currently reading Atlas shrugged by the same author.
