The Fountain head.

One of the most influential books of all times,THE FOUNTAINHEAD,is straight out of the heart of the author.

The whole point of this book lies in one line,

''But the point is that, who will stop me?'' says Howard Roark in reply to a question posed by the dean of his school.

This book is a true and definite description of a human being who should be an idol for anyone. This books talks about Howard roark,an architect,a perfect human being who is far from the people around us.It's a difficult path he takes but that's how I would like to live but this book will disturb those people who thinks there is a problem with the false life we are leading.Because it will make a great psychological change in such people, but that will be a hard struggle for those people to live normally.

Pesrsonally this book is a more valuable book than our Baghavad Gita or Ramayan etc..Truly speaking is there any thing that really inspires you or help you in moving forward in life in our ancient tests.I didn't find really anything of that kind in Ramayana or Bhagacadgita.

Read Fountain head. And you will know why I said it.I read it ,reread it rereread it and it has lots in store for me.There is a lot of things to learn from it.

Ideal man is what Howard Roark can be called, doing what he wants to do.And in a world where people are selfish and deny the fact that they are selfish it is not very uncommon that people deny that the philosophy of Ayn Ran won't hold good for them.It far from reality is what people think.

This book can be hated or loved there is no intermediate to it.

Is it really far from reality?

I really never felt it so.The world around is so close to the set up in the book.We can find all the characters of Fountain head in our everyday life except for one character,Howard Roark .

So is it difficult to be Howard Roark?

For quite some time I tried to be like one too.

It was after some time that I have realised why poeple hated or liked this book. Those people who liked it ,tried to be like Howard Roark and those who hated it are more or less closer to the evil charcters of the book like Peter Keating. When some one projects you like a villain you will certainly not like it ,right.I think it is those people who finds themselves guilty after reading this book start hating this book.

Another important observation I have made about those people who liked this book was that their liking starts fading away untill they reread it.May be bacuase they would have failed to be like Howard Roark.

But one serious thing I learnt after repaeated readings is that Howard Roark is not we should try to be it is ourselves.Be your self.

It may not be very realistic to be like Howard Roark but when you try to be your self with out compromising on your goals and ideals then I think you waould have learnt the true essence of Ayn Rands Philosophy.

Once somebody reads this book,it will certainly bring in a bit of change in our thinking.

If we all can think and change the little bit of our thoughts and life,The author will be happy that this world is changing and there's no need for her to come back taking a rebirth to write some more books to change the humankind.
