Bought an Optra in April 2005 as was recommended by the finance company.Delivery was smooth. However I was stuck in the flooding on 26/7.After 3 months in the garage, I received back the car.Insipe of being a car under warranty, dealer said floods not covered in warranty.Total Repairs about Rs 47,000,had to pay about Rs 17,000,balance by insurance.Insurance report and pares not given to us as yet, inspite of many reminders. After receiving car, within 2 weeks, car started problems in starting in the morning.Dealer said ,we will have to replace starter and switch and it will cost Rs 11000.Full cost to be borne by us as insurance and warranty does not cover it,as due to flooding. So from onwards ,any problems in the car will be attributed to flooding and will not fall under warranty. At the end of the day you feel cheated by the car company and the dealer! It seems they are only interested in selling a car and servicing it subsequently.
