We were a group of 7 adults and 4 kids looking for a good mallu restaurant in Cochin to have a hearty dinner. Our criteria was that it has to be a mallu restaurant. There were restaurants which served continental and chinese by the dime and dozen. We asked our cab driver to take us to a mallu cusine restaurant and he suggested SeaGull Bar and restaurant, we went there and didnt like the place, we walked into Fort House which was next door. we liked the ambience and decided to try the place.
We ordered for Kerala Parotas, Appam, Vegetable stew, Prawn Fry, Kerala prawn curry and chicken masala. The entire meal was superb. the vegetable stew was the best of the lot. We had a chef in our group from one of biggest branded hotels in Cochin and he too said that the food was excellent.
They have a hotel too with around 20 rooms. The hotel is by the sea with a great view. The hotel is in Calvathi road. 0484-2217103
