I have drove almost all brands of cars until now. Leaving apart Maruti, I found Ford as best vehicle I?ve ever tried. Recently one month back I bought a new Ford Ikon 1.3 Flair.
As its name suggests - Ford is Ford. With this price of 5 Lac+, you can?t expect more. All power options - steering, windows, central locking etc. Air conditioning is top class. No need to say anything about pickup, power and engine performance. IT IS SIMPLY EXCELLENT! Initially I was a little bit worried about fuel efficiency but after regular checking, this also has become an excellent experience. Truly speaking I compare it with my Maruti 800.
My Ikon is giving me 12/16 avg. as compared to my Maruti 800, which gives me an avg. of 14/17. I drive on an average of 2 hours in city per day (about 30 KM) where as twice a month a long journey. Longest being some 850 KM non stop! Believe me in Ford Ikon from Pune to Bhopal in one slog.
I claim the comfort of Ford Ikon as tremendous as I was so fresh that started next day for another 850 KM in single stretch from Bhopal to Pune?19 Hours + 18 Hours without any exhaustion! Ford?s suspensions are simply best. I tested them on Agra-Bombay road? Talking about interiors, it is decent. Only disadvantage is you hardly find any flat space to put something on dashboard.
I compare it with my brother?s Opel, where you have a luxury to put a lot of stuff freely. Comfort and space if compared with Opel or Maruti esteem, I found Ford many times better. One thing I feel i.e. about rear boot space, it is a huge one. Lastly about looks etc. you can see it anywhere...according to me this was the primary factor to start thinking about Ford...And if you opt for original Ford's alloy wheels then - simply best.
