Ford Ikon 1.3 Flair

The Josh Machine has come a long way ? and yes it has found a way to my heart and become one of my prized possessions as well. Well to tell you the truth the concept of Josh never excited me so much as owning a car with the best overall performance. I don?t get to speed away at 120 Kmph each day and neither do I need to try such a thing on Delhi?s pathetic roads.

I had been hunting for a car from the last 6 months and with a budget of approx 5 lacs It really seemed at a point of time that I would have to go in for a small or medium sized car with cramped up leg space and limited comfort. My personal opinion is that if you are going in for a car why not think about the family as well ?after all you are not going to drive all alone all the time is it ? This is what prompted me to go for a medium to big sized car with limited features, optimum performance values and yes a good brand name as well.

The cars which I short-listed for my test drives were Hyundai Accent, Tata Indigo and the Ford Ikon 1.3 Flair version. Comparatively I found the Ford Ikon Flair to be the best bet in terms of value for money as also the bundled up features in the Flair matches it with the best in the category.

It doesn?t have the plush and comfortable seats of the Accent or the stunning exteriors of the Indigo but when you drive the Flair the handling of the car is such that you feel the car actually respond to each command with apt ease- something which I found to be lacking in other contemporaries. The Accent though standing lighter and having a much powerful engine doesn?t produce the actual Torque you can really feel while driving an Ikon Flair. The Suspension and the steering are just absolutely superb so is the engine performance while running at higher speeds and while in City the car drives like a beauty.

Power Steering, Power Windows, Plenty of Legroom Space along with the Josh Experience you can only associate with a Ford I would say Ford Ikon Flair is the best buy for any middle income person with best available options and best possible dividends.
