I test drove the getz diesel and the ford ikon diesel on two consecutive days...my big dilemma is whether to buy a good hatch-back or an average sedan.
Safety (no optional airbags even), noise/finish and cost of maintenance are my biggest concerns about the ford..
The leg room in the second row is so so. seating 3 adults will be a squeeze. u have to get down and come around to open the boot..now that is quite primitive (although u can fix that with some dough). No rear window defogger, wiper..well I can put up with that..
Getz on the other hand is roomy, good boot space (390 liters compared to 400 of the ikon). It has the advantage of folding the seats 60-40 to make more space for carrying bicyles etc..Of course ikon beats desire in looks ..beats logan cos its not a taxi !!
