Looking for value for Money? Every Rupee! Seriously looking for all immediate returns for hard earned money? Then Look no more. here is a car which is excellent buy for owner/ driver city/ highway all-weather car.
We were looking at a Rs. 4 lakh car which could give us good mileage, sturdy, all basic features included sedan car. First we looked at i10, then Ponto, then tried to test drive Maruti Swift DZire. The last one came after may persuasions to the dealer! DZire was a good car to drive but overall features of Ford won hearts for what all you get and what u pay!
Ford ikon 1.4 is a good stud type, and its diesel is surprisingly more powerful than its petrol cousin. Wondering why? and it’s about Rs.50000 expensive than petrol. so no issue comparing with petrol.
But resale of the Ford vs. DZire is about Rs. 2.5 l vs. Rs. 3 l respectively. Again, no point looking at resale value after 3 years.( my source: same second hand car dealer- Kapoor Sahib who buys my cars every 3 years and gives me good value every time!).
White looks good color.
But Drivers seat is very compact for a heavy person and makes it inconvenient.
But my wife would like to treat this car as mainly driver driven, to also do all household chores, then I should not say anything.
But here, she is looking at Honda city 1.5 AT about Rs. 9.5 l. So cant cay more.
Still considering and looking at all reviews, Mouth shut and response from dealers at discounts.
I am not getting into tech stuff as one can get it all on the sites.
But worth mentioning is its torque of 160nm@ 4000 rpm and 68 ps / 4000 rpm as its mx power output.
this 160 figure is impressive and cannot be achieved from any other car in this range,
