I want to give you guys a brief review of the test drive .
I had booked a test drive from Lathangi ford in Bangalore. Getting the car on time for the test drive proved a bit troublesome. (A detailed review of the dealership after I receive the car). Well now coming to the car I had been planning to buy a diesel hatch back for some time. Had decided on the Polo but proved to be a bit pricey for me .
So I took a look at the Figo and thought it would be good. I will give you a detailed review of the car and its competition in my forthcoming complete review of the Figo(Got to wait till the delivery). The guys at the Ford had sent a grey colour Figo (top-end diesel). First impressions were good. I and my father went for a very short test drive. I asked my father to drive a bit more. But he left the final decision to me. After all, my Skoda Laura is a better car(Its not fair to compare these 2 cars) .
I took a decent long drive. Cabin quality is very well done.Though Ford has tried to impart that richness feel to the plastics they are Not so great but its decent and hard wearing. Control stalks have a good fell. Best thing of the car comes now. Its the GEARBOX. Its just a delight to use. Fantastic shift and is of quality too. Its awesome .
A/C is brilliant: Took the car for a drive at around 2 in the afternoon. Instant cooling (More of this in my final review) . Ford says a mileage of 18.5 km/l . Should still check out
Finally, I was convinced and gave the final ok signal to my father. Booked a titanium diesel (white colour) . Opted for normal black dash. Also the bluetooth system works like a treat . As I told you, all of this will come in detail in my upcoming review of the car after the delivery .
Go for Figo as its excellent value for money .
