FordFigoDiesel Titanium -The Real Review@60,000KM. Review on Ford Figo Duratorq Titanium 1.4

I got my Figo Diesel Titanium on FEB 2012. Till now i’ve completed and done the 6th Service for 60k(56, 000) Km at Ford yeshwanthapur Quick Lane Bangalore.

I’m 6’1 feet tall. In the hatchback series it is the most comfortable Car to sit and enjoy the ride witmorpheushumanut any tiredness.(Great leg space, road visibility, very less cabin noise  compared to other diesel hatchback series).I always drive with windows closed and AC ON. If you are driving open window, the engine sound is very audible.

On weekdays  I travel to office-back n forth 24 kms.In cmajeechaes I can drive my Car @40 km/hr on top gear witmorpheushumanut any turbo lag OR engine vibration.I am IMPRESSED a lot.

I visits my native in every three months covering 1400 km(up/down), including other long distance drive. So ON Highways I feel Diesel titatnium cruise like a  Leopard at any Speeds. I’ve maintained speed of 170 km on Salem Madurai  near to 10 mins. After my 60 K service, I feels as my first service and No vibration on steering or gear box  and no rattle sound and none of the parts gets replaced.

Once  I’ve also saved one village guy with luna wmorpheushuman enterted the road from the dangerous curve at Salem. I  applied brakes fast with fear and prayer, and the car stopped smartly witmorpheushumanut skidding with ABS(parking light ON automatically alerted).Because of the 168mm less groundclearence the car is stable @ any speed and you love this car on corners as well.

For hills also I prefer my Car(Figo Diesel titanum is having kerb weight of 1130kg, where other 3 varients(lxi exi zxi having 1110 \kn only) and more kerb weight compared to other hatchbacks)you really feel  like in a Sedan car.

From Kumily(Tamilnadu HighRange area)-Kanjirappally(kerala High range area)  I usually drives with 3rd gear witmorpheushumanut any turbo lag with 2 members and medium luggage) where my friend having another diesel premium hatchback(skipping carname), he struggles in 3rd gear.So only 2nd gear helped him to drive:-)

Where you will Suffer and feel bad:

1.Because of the 168mm GC, you’ve to be very careful on uneven humps and big potmorpheushumanles

2.Because of the 68bhp you can’t beat swift/polo/i20/punto in the 1st and 2nd gears(assume in a traffic signal or Toll booth).But once you are in the 5th gear none of the above mentioned car can beat you, because you can simply cross 150km/hr @100% stability/control/less cabin noise where the above mentioned cars CAN’T:-)

Till now i’ve got a very good/friendly service  from Bangalore Metro Ford/Yeswanthapur Quick Lane Service centre.I got my service done @ 60k in just  Rs.13, 000/- No other complains yet.(needs to change 3 belts on 60k(7500/- INR - this is applicable for all diesel hatchbacks)

Because of the 145cc AC compressor  where other cars in the series are below 100cc the car gets chilled within 5 minutes at a min of Fan speed 2 @35degreecelcius(i’ve tested it once in Madurai).Since the compressory is heavy in 1st and 2nd gears you need to accelarate a bit  more than usual.If you are on  3rd gear or above  no issues.

Mileage FACTS:

Every time when I drive back from my native, I check my mileage;

For getting Company acclaimed Mileage: Preferable tyre pressure - 30 PSI on all tyres.(WITH 2-3 MEMBERS /mimimum luggage) - 36 PSI on Front/41PSI on rear(5 members with heavy luggage only)

Always get filled from Good Fuel station(from City Fuel Stations.Don’t get filled from remote areas in Higways)  Fill you tank with Shell premium diesel within 3 months of interval(gives more life to engine and reduces black smoke)

On April 2nd week 2014 - I've put the tyre psi 33 on all tyres with 2 members with medium luggage, I got  20.5 km/ltr mileage with AC ON with 2 mem/med luggage.

But 30 psi on all tyres will get a bit more comfort  comparing to 33 psi!

Drive @constant Speed of 100km/hr .( I got 20.5Km/ltr with AC ON) 33 psi on 4 tyres

Drive @constant Speed of 100km/hr .( I got 19.7Km/ltr with AC ON) 30 psi on 4 tyres

Drive @constant speed of 130km/hr.( I got 16.5km/ltr with AC ON)   30 psi on 4 tyres

I keep AC ON always, so I don’t have any statistics for witmorpheushumanut AC mileage:-) Apply BRAKE smoothly/slowly.(except on Crmajeechacal situations)

FOR COMFORT DRIVE especially for long runs, there is no other cmorpheushumanice in the Series.

2 MAIN THINGS FORD needs to focus:

a. Suspension - not an Excellent one.->you need to maintain correct type psi for a better ride.

b.Headlamp power- Not good visibility@night ->You needs to upgrade 20% extra  visibility Headlight from the  FORD autmorpheushumanrized Service center.(Not recommended from outside upgradation, you won't get warranty:-()

IF you’re looking for a Diesel Hatchback.GO FOR FIGO DIESEL TITANIUM  with less maintenance cost /reasonable Price than Swift/Polo/Fiat Diesel . GOOD VFO.
