My experience with Wasan Ford dealership in short: Pushy, unscrupulous sales men show a rosy unpractical finance quotation to grab a token amount and when the unsuspecting customer returns to submit the necessary documents will show the practical finance quotation which if the latter can afford to pay then it is fine, or else they will forfiet the token money in any case cheat the customer and bring the Ford brand to shame.
From the past 15 years I was using Maruti cars, this time when I decided that my fifth car thought I should go for a different brand, after making market survey and understanding the technological advantage, I zeroed on Ford Figo Aspire in spite of knowing that it has not able sell to many cars, in the Indian market.
I had made a payment a token of Rs 10, 000(Receipt no CASH/0322/15-16) dated 28-jan-2016 in cash against the booking of ford aspire diesel 2015 model. to sales TL Mr santosh shinde as he insisted for a token or else the car cannot be booked but promised me if any chance I am not able to purchase the car the money will be refunded as I had a tight budget. The loan amount he had projected i.e. Down payment is INR 1, 25000 - INR 70, 000(Discount)= INR 55000, EMI INR 17447 as the loan is 95 percent of the on road price by Ford finance. Now when I was about to submit the remaining documents for processing the loan. the sales manager Mr, Salve gives me a finance quotation of down payment of INR 238, 552 - INR 70, 000(Discount)=168, 552 EMI INR 14665.
Now it seems ford finance is only funding 95 percent on ex-showroom. which I cannot afford and I dint want apply for a loan amount which I cannot afford and reject the loan and reduce my CIBIL SCORE, and lose my chances for future loan for any other car loan which I can afford. So I requested to refund my money of INR 10, 000, which the sales manager is dodging it with all his cleverness and tells me that I will be fined of 1 percent of the ex showroom price as he already booked the car my name. Needless to say no docket was sign by me for the same.
I even met MR Lazarus S. Lalzare executive assistant to the director Mr Kunal Wasan. Who promised to help me with the refund, today it is 3 days and many phone calls to him, but I didn't get my money back. I am totally fed up and completely lost faith on this brand and dealership. Tired of chasing these people now I know that Ford Figo Aspire, in spite of being a engineering marvel, fails to win sales due to poor dealership commitment and do not care attitude towards prospective customers.
Finally I did send a mail to Ford India, hoping they would intervene and make there dealers to fall inline and get me the refund.
