Rock the Beat! New Ford Fiesta. Review on Ford Fiesta

Hi,

I booked the test drive of New Ford Fiesta and got a call from ford people and went to their showroom as its very near to my office. Well when I was on my way to their showroom a Fiesta took a turn and I had a quick peek at it and it looked small.

I checked the Diesel version 1.4 cc wala.

But when I visited the showroom my mind changed quickly. It quite a good looking car with good looks. From front left/right side it looks likes Optra and from back it got looks like Mercedeze. Head lights are like Honda City.

Not going to bore you with usual stuff ...just going to you quick review on what I noticed and what I have asked the sales man. Got a good big sports style bumper.

Got quite huge boot. New styling is also cool. Interior is quite good.

Got good interiors, good exterior. Has power outlet for mobile charging, lighter etc. Service is after every 10000 kms or 6 momths whichever earlier. Diesel vrsion has got audio cd player and 2 speakers by default.

Incase you want anyhting more on internal side of car let me know and I will let you know.

Average what has been told to me is: 22 kmpl with ac in city and 24 kmpl with ac on highway. Which is quite impressive. I have checked the car out at Bhagat Ford, Chandigarh.

Okay now test drive part:

I started the car and it started, my brother was standing outside and he said ''its appoved'' he said that coz the car diesel engine had a very low sound. It was unbelievble that there was no vibration inside the car.

I asked abut vibrations with the sales pappu and he told me that there are vibration sensors in the car which elimiates the vibration as it comes. I took the tride and it was quite good the pickup is okay as it should be of a diesel and the noise of diesel was too less. If you roll up windows and listen to music you will not hear outside noise and engine noise at all.

Lets say that even skoda has more noise than this. It fails skoda and elentra in the terms of engine noise and vibration. I must say this. It was too quite for a diesel engine.

Also I must tell that the suspension is a bit hard..i think it has been kept hard intentionally coz of the diesel engine.

No ABS or EBD in car. Optional for 30k available.

No AIWS suspension.

The car is Euro-4 ready.

The diesel version is the best buy.

Service will be costing from Rs. 2000-2500.

4-5 weeks of booking is going on.

Ford maybe going to increase price by 30k so book now if you're interested.

Costs less than Rs. 1.50 per km.

AC is quite good.

There is one problem I saw is that the bonnet opening lever is on the right pessenger side and not driver's side. Which is quite un-standard. Anyways a guy asked them to open the bonnet and the lever thing came out. Called ford sales pappu and he tried to open and it again came out. After several tries he managed to open it which was quite embrassing.

What I liked about the car:

5. Diesel vesion got Defogger, Audio CD Player, Fog lamps.

   
   

What I did'nt liked:

1. Diesel verison has no 6 cd changer mp3 player like petrol has.

   
   




2. Hard suspension.

   
   




3. Ain't got rear folding seats like in petrol.

   
   

Was quite roomy in both front and back. I hope this will give a good idea incase you need any further clarification then please let me know.
