Fiesta-3 years. Review on Ford Fiesta

I purchased a FORD Fiesta TDCI 3 years before. So far it has run a little less than 50000 kms.I experienced the following problems and issues during the last 3 years:

i) The type of the fabric cover on one of the headrests was different from the other one which went unnoticed by me for a few days. On discovery of this, it was informed to the dealer and was subsequently replaced after the visit of a person from Chennai for verification. As a matter of fact they could not believe how this has happened.

ii) The battery conked off resulting in starting problems which was replaced by the dealer.

iii) The wiper noise was observed to be quite abnormal which was told to the dealer right from the first service itself. They do something, the noise comes down and again goes up after a while. Of course this comes to light when it rains only.

The slapping noise from the wiper is quite unbearable when one is in long time driving in monsoon. The dealer has tried his best to resolve it at the best of his ability, but the problem remains as of now. I have not received a satisfactory reply even from the President's office in Chennai. The interesting thing is that everybody agrees that there is a noise but says 'it is like this in  Ford car which is acceptable" . At the end of the day this issue has become just like the story of 'the Father, Son and the Donkey'. I never expected that this issue will be treated like this. Perhaps it is the latest technique to say that according to thier standard it is acceptable. This is ridiculous.

iv) There is a whining noise from the engine when the ac is on. Though I complained of this a couple of times it went to deaf's ears with no solution whatsoever. Perhaps this noise can be overlooked since it is very feeble.

v) The beige colour fabric upholstery becomes very dirty in no time if we use the car!!. Therefore, one should not choose this colour at all.

The consoling factor is nothing but the reliability. I have taken this car for long journeys of the order of 600 kms  from Bangalore for 7 times. It has given good ride and handling, good road grip and reasonably good fuel efficiency.

The revenue making techniques of the dealer is always there if one does not put a control on them!
