Ford Fiest overly priced by atleast a lac. Review on Ford Fiesta

I was mulling over the plan to buy a car when I ford fiesta was launched ... I was upbeat about its TDCi engines(other two petrol variants are no way different from what we already have on roads infact better options on road in petrol)... TDCi engine were derived from fiesta engine in europe which are mae in collaboration with peugot ... after which they refined the injection process to make it alot more silent ... this information u can find at alot of places ... lets talk india plans

Exteriors .... I feel its hightime indian cunsumer gets over the bounds in which they imagine a sedan ... please look at vehicles in europe and then u might have an idea how dated Fiesta is ... but the indian consumer likes that more than a futuristic designed honda city ... I would give it 2/5 for exterior ... no innovation here.. Aveo looks alot mroe stunning

Interiors: space is good considering the compactness they have put up in its length n breadth and for indian congested roads ... but interiors for EXi and ZXi no way worth its price ... for TDCi I will rate them at 3/5 ... Please for heavens sake we are paying 8.6L for it ... give me a break for cheap home grown plastics and no class in interiors ... and if someone says its the price jsut for engine well then u need to check better diesel engines ....

Engine: This is one of the the most silent diesel engines I have ever seen onindain roads ... but is vibrations the only factor for a diesel car.., well I would say no ... till certain limits vibrations and noise are adjustable if the cabin is designed well ... look at skoda stand next to it and u wont realize its an 11L car ... but sit inside and take a drive u surely will .... coz the way it pulls itself give u a feeling of strong build ... SKODA is an 1.9 TDi engine(yeah not a common rail but still does so well) and mileage which is comparable to fiesta thats engineering and that demands price ... Fiesta lacks that its meant for people with not a heart to enjoy their drives on highways ... 17 sec to 100 is 2.5 sec more than honda city(which is considered to be bad on pick up) ... and all that after u pay 8.6L .... I know few would say its a 1.4 engine but then look at the price again(Also CRDi with some more noise but at 1.5 is alot mroe peppy and with same not so peppy interiors but better from outside VIVA) ... I would 4.5/5 for vibrations ... but pickup and fun to drive I will give 3/5 ... and city driving I will give 4/5 very good low end torque

Now the comparison ... Well at 8.6L I must be mad to book a fiesta TDCi ... Its atleast 1.5L more than what it should be ... and for sure when we see alot better diesel options in the form of SWIFT diesel sedan and the undsputed diesel workhorse SKODA Fabia all fiesta owners will regret their buy coz then like IKON TDCi would be on huge discounts(if fabia is for 9L give me a shot gun to shoot someone who will suggest buying a TDCi) and seconds market all screwed ... so think twice before u go for highly overpriced Fiesta ... FORD never can get their pricing strategy right like poor IKON owners fiesta TDCi owners would also regret ... More than technical details I thought these details would help alot more iin deciding the car ... BTW just a statistic 3 year old IKON is available for less than 2L ... even a 3 year old in good shape esteem(except for its dates design is a very good car) would be difficult to get at that price :)
