NEVER BUY A FORD CAR. Review on Ford Fiesta

Ford fiesta 1.6 PETROL has Designing defects, :

Summary:

Very low fuel efficiency, Probably lowest in its class; Prone to breakdown, very frequently; Very poor quality battery last not more than 12 months; It’s very difficult to get the parts replaced in warranty; you have to fight a lot with staff at workshop. You must be blessed with very good convincing capabilities; Most vital part has life of 25000 km to 35000 km; Plz check KM restriction for different parts while taking extended warranty, the sales person will never tell you; As it may breakdown any where on the go, plz avoid long drives with this car; Do meditation every day, as this car effects the peace of mind a lot. GOD BLESS YOU

The car has breakdown more than 12 times on road driven just 40000km, clutch, AC, Suspension, excel, power window switch has gone. Coolant bottle has busted twice on the road. We buy a conveyance for convenience not for inconvenience. Breakdown is like a employee in ur company without head. Vital parts in Ford Cars in India (as per my experience) has a life as little as Chicken just 40 K km it has a designing defect in thordal body beyond correction which stops car any where on the road.

I have written to their both India and US office.  Indian office simply replied to go to workshop for repairingas per warranty terms. But I want my money back.

The battery of the car lasts only for one year, in comparison to batteries of other car manufacturers last for more than 4 years

The Thordal Body: The Car has a inbuilt innovative defect of Thordal body which gets carbon (as I was informed by the service person at Harpreet Ford, Moti Ngar) and either does not start at all or provide speed of up to 10km per hour (it is innovative). First time when this problem arises, I got mad since I had to reach for a very important meeting and due to some back pain I was not in position to travel by alternate mode of transport.

Once we were going to Chandigarh from Delhi, We started at 8.30 pm from our place at Delhi. About 10.30 pm on the highway the car stopped, I, my wife and my little son got scared as it was completely dark around. I applied my mind that is must be the thordal body; we stopped the engine for 30 minutes and then restart. We need to repeat this process twice before reaching our destination. Can you ever imagine what kind of trauma our family had gone through until we reach our destination. Please imagine this situation with you family putting yourself in my shoes.

The Coolant Bottle: Another problem being faced in the car is w.r.t the coolant bottle. Once I was going for a very important meeting with Dy. General Manager of our Banker to discuss about our credit limits for next twelve months, I got that appointment after long persuasion for about 14 days. When I reached at Panchkunya Road, Delhi on red-light signal we saw that some smoke was coming out from bonnet we got panic and just got down the car, than somehow we got the courage to open the bonnet the coolant bottle was bust. I lost the appointment and opportunity to get batter limits for my company,

Again on 28/07/2011 at about 09 pm when I was going for diner appointment with very potential client of my company who was on that day itself leaving for his country, the Car stopped at red-light signal and refused to start (due to bust of coolant bottle) Again I lost the appointment and lost one client for ever which could have contributed more than INR 2 millions every year to our bottom line.
