Some big misconceptions:


I happened to read through some reviews on Airlines.Some common problems addressed and just shows how ignorant the reviews are:


1) Timing:People keep talking of timing. IT should be understood that delays are not in the control of the respective airlines and are limited by air traffic, weather and many related issues.Only one thing which can be attributed to a particluar airline is last minute technical snag, which is rare.Unless specified for the casue of delay, blaming airlines make no sense.


2)Airhostess: Some ridiculous remarks, I have read is they dont smile or are rude. I still cant figure out what does this mean? Are you sitting there expecting to be flirted around by airhostess? I have seen ppl making unreasonable demands and requests as though they are their servants(just you have paid doesnt mean that you have to expect to be treated like a king), which obviosuly irks anyone.I myself wonder many a times how can they be so patient, if it was me I would have gone wild, if someone keeps pestering for service every now and then, this is evident especially in long haul flights.If any airhostess is impolite or rude to a particluar person, maybe there should be rationale behind it? I so far have flown in almost all airlines and I have never had such experiences. I do agree there may be some genuine cases but its very rare.


3)Racial discrimination:Another big big joke. I think this is more in the mind or inferiority complex on part of the passenger who is complaining about it . If any airhostess is consistently racial in her outlook I suppose she would have been kicked out by the airlines by then. But if it is with respect to a particular individual I think it has got to do more with the mannerisms of a person than anything else.


4)Another common bashing is related to Air india and IA.Some are very much valid but most of the complaints are baseless.Even domestic airlines in SOuth East Asia  or Europe or US are equally substandard.


The genuine reasons which makes sense are:


1) The steps taken by airline to accomodate the passsengers through other airlines in case of delay, especially with persons who are in great emergency to reach their destinations


2)The handling on part of ground staff in case of lost  or delayed luggages


3) The concern on part of airlines crew if a passenger falls sick or related things(especially if a passenger is accompanied by a small child on long distances)when the plane is airborne.


The list can just go on, but the moot point is you cant judge an airline completely by an isolated case.
