I'm writing this feedback to tell people about floraindia.com and the way I paid for an item that I did not receive. I searched through google about sites that sell flowers and ship them directly to the recipients. I came across floraindia.com to be one such site that promises guaranteed delivery on 14th February, 2007 (Valentines day) . I bought a dozen roses on this site on 12/feb/2007. The registration process and purchase process went on very well. I paid using a credit card.
I received an acknowledgment that the payment is successful and they've also provided an order number. Given such a good experience, I thought that my wife will receive the flowers (a surprise for her) and we'll have a nice day on the Valentines day. To my surprise the flowers were never delivered. When I went home on 14th I found my wife giving me a bouquet of flowers and I was empty handed with a blank face. I tried contacting floraindia.com customer service and the phone was always busy or not responding. The email query was not answered.
Even today (15th), the day on which they claim to send a delivery confirmation, we did not receive any communication from them. They are not reachable on phone (busy/not responding).
This is a bad experience. I've never received the product. The amount is charged on my credit card. Fortunately, they use a ICICI gateway. Thus, they don't have a direct hold of my credit card information. I'm planning to dispute this transaction with my bank (which issued my credit card). A final request for people who are reading this message. AVOID FLORAINDIA.COM unless you have lots of money to waste. Your pocket will be out of money and you'll not receive the item purchased.
