I have been a Flipkart fan. Have many very good experiences. I have been buying computer components in a large quantity for office requirement. Recently I ordered components for 4 computers, MB, CPU, RAM, HDD, PSU, Monitor etc. Everything else except motherboard was supplied by WS retail. I ordered on Sunday afternoon and to my surprise half the items were shipped on Sunday itself. I received everything from WS retail by Thursday.
Can you build a computer without a motherboard? These were to be supplied by another seller called onlineking at Flipkart.com. I didn't expect them to be working on Sunday but certainly expect them to ship the product on Monday or Tuesday specially when it is in stock and I made payment through credit card. The expected delivery mentioned was Saturday. I assumed that since they are couriered through WS retail, it will reach just like another Flipkart product.
Monday the status was "Item packed" so I was relaxed and expected it to reach by Thursday or Friday at the most. On Thursday also the status was "item packed." I lost my patience and called Flipkart.
They first said it will be delivered as scheduled but I kept asking if it is packed 3 days ago why are they not shipping? She talked to them and said they are shipping now, they have some internal procedure due to which it took 4 days after packing!
After two hours I received email saying the shipment cancelled by the seller. I called Flipkart again. CS guy told me it was cancelled by seller we can't do anything about it. We should place order with other seller. I kept insisting that you can't do this to me, since I received all other material worth 70000/- and now I can't keep waiting 10 days for my credit card reversal and then place another order, wait another 7 days to get the product. They talked to seller and told me that because I ordered 4 motherboard they didn't ship it. They have RATIONING for motherboard. I can buy maximum 3 at a time so all the order was cancelled without even talking to me or Flipkart CS. Why did they take payment for 4? Why didn't they inform next day? Is this country going to face RATIONING of electronic parts also? What a miserable consumer we Indians are!
After lot of shouting CS guy got the delivery status changed to "shipped."
Beware of market resellers on any online site. ORDER ONLY COD EVEN IF IT IS FLIPKART.COM (EXCEPT WS RETAIL). Order multiple orders. Keep whichever comes first and allows you to open and check the product. cancel all other orders.
Enjoy and relax. Be smart. Instead of you shouting on phone let them shout at their staff.
