Bought 2 gold coins as part of the Big Billion Day sale. My order was cancelled automatically after a few days and I got an auto email with SMS. I called up Flipkart customer support immediately and was told that they tried to reach me and I wasn't reachable so they cancelled the order.
That was a lame excuse as I wasn't contacted by Flipkart. I asked for my call to be escalated and after a lot of hesitation my call was escalated. The escalation manager told me that she was able to see a lot of orders for the product cancelled automatically cancelled and she would look into it and get back. She actually followed up with me and it felt good. I received prompt calls and finally told that it was cancelled due to stock not being available and I would be compensated Rs 3000 for this and it would be credited to my account.
I still haven't received any amount and I have called Flipkart multiple times for this. Every time I call they give me some lame excuse and my case seems to be reopened and starts from scratch. I get an automated email & SMS for this but no resolution in sight. Once they tell me I will get it in my eWallet, another agent says it will be an e-voucher in email and other says in bank account. They all seem clueless and none of them willing to escalate my call this time.
I am fed up coordinating and no resolution seems to be in sight. The last time I spoke to an agent Vinay who couldn't even speak English properly and kept claiming that he was a Senior manager and no one higher than him to escalate the issue. Felt more like a new hire who didn't even have basic etiquette while handling the call. He acted like he couldn't hear me after a while but I didn't disconnect the call. Finally he gave up and spoke to me and said the case has been forwarded to the concerned team.
Another problem is that earlier you could rate the call and give feedback at the end of the call but nowadays the call is just cut and you can only hear the recorded message before speaking to the agent that you will receive an IVR for feedback. I guess everyone is sharing negative feedback that Flipkart has finally given up.
