I had ordered one Sony Micro Vault USM4GN 4 GB Pen Drive(Black) [Order number: OD20107150520] on 7 January 2012 at 03:09 PM. As I mentioned the order date, the day was Saturday. However, is was my first Flipkart order so I was very curious to get my delivery as soon as possible. As Saturday is the weekend, my order didn't shipped on the same day. So I called the Flipkart customer care on Sunday to get the details about their working days and estimated shipping time from the time and day of the order. And on Monday, I got an update about my order that my order has been shipped, and my curiosity increased. And I was sure that my order will be deliver on Tuesday morning but I was little doubtful that my estimation shall be proved correct or not as this was my first order. According to my estimation, the order arrived on Tuesday morning at my doorstep and I payed him Rs 300 and he gave me Rs 2 back and started going, then I stopped him and take the change of Rs 7 from my family member and gave to him, in the return, he gave me Rs 10. I tore the packaging because I was unable to open the packaging by removing strong adhesive tapes. But I saw that on the pack, there is written 2 years limited warranty while on the Fipkart's website, it was shown as 1 year warranty. Then I called the Flipkart customer care and told him my matter, then he firstly told my another matter which was quality related matter that another customer had ordered the same product but their product is not working properly, so he asked me to check the pen drive, the packaging was so strong that I wasn't able to open that, so I told him, then he said that you can tell that is your pen drive working fine or not by evening, and in my matter, he told me the same thing as shown on the website. And in the evening on the same day, I again called customer care and told that my pen drive is working fine but that customer care executive was not able to understand clearly that what I am saying. Then I told him that matter completely, but I think that executive was foolish, I tried to tell anything else and he understood anything else. And on my warranty related matter he replied the same as the executive with whom I talked at the afternoon at the same day. Then on next day, I once again called the customer care regarding my matter and this time, I tried to tell him my issue completely, then he said to contact the Sony's customer for solving the warranty period confusion. And on the same day, I went to anywhere else so I didn't noticed that what foolishness that executive has done. And at night, when I checked my order history from my mobile, I was surprised and little feared by thinking that I have to pay again for the same product. I saw that some one has placed the order of the same product as a guest user [Order number: OD2011113720R] on 11 January 2012 at 01:37 PM. So I called at my home and asked to my every family member who uses computer that is anyone of them placed an order. But all of them said "No!", then I called their customer care and told that issue, then he said that now you will not get the order. But on the next day, I received an SMS alert that my order is out for delivery, then I called customer care again said that I already complained, then why didn't you call your shipment back, then she said that "we are sorry for your inconvenience, we have forwarded your message to the concerned department, now you will not receive the replacement at your doorstep and if it reaches, then refuse to accept it. Then I called my home to tell them, but my family member told that the delivery person came yesterday and today also, so we replaced the order. Then I called again to tell Flipkart that my family member has accepted the shipment, so what can I do now. Then he told me that you claimed for replacement, that is why we have given you the replacement. But I make him understand that this was misunderstanding of your executive, I didn't claimed for any replacement. So he said that now you keep that replacement and check that pen drive, if it works fine, then no problem, and if not, then we will give you another replacement. So I told him that I'm out of station, so I can't told you on the call. I will call you later after asking with my family member. Then I called my family member and my family member said that the pen drive is working fine. So I called the customer care once again and told the that the pen drive is working fine. And now I understood that I won't have to suffer from this inconvenience and breathed peacefully. But at this time, that was my misunderstanding. After few times, I received a call from the Flipkart courier facility that they have received an email from their seniors to pickup my replacement without returning me the product of my original order. Then I said him to reply him with any answer after some times when after talking to his seniors. Then I had to call the Flipkart customer care again, and I told him this new issue, then he said that reply them with "No!", so I done that what he said. And finally, I breathed peacefully after getting rid of this inconvenience. And I forgot to tell you that when I received the product of my original order, I saw on the website that the price of that product has been reduced to Rs 2 less.


So I called Flipkart customer care and claimed for the refund of my Rs 2. Then he said that your Rs 2 will be credited in your wallet as the store credit and it will be usable for your next purchase on Flipkart. But no money has been refunded yet in my wallet. But I don't mind because I was already feeling sorry because I received well criticism from the elders in my family for not letting the delivery person go who gave me the product of my original order with only Re 1 because our flat is on the top floor of the apartment. So I feel that the lot of inconvenience for the unneeded replacement and non-refund of Rs 2 is the punishment of my sin. However, eventually I would like to recommend the Flipkart to all who are reading my review.

UPDATE: After reading my review, a Flipkart's executive named Aditya called me at the evening on 20 February 2012, and apologised for the inconvenience I had faced. He told me that the executive was new in Flipkart and mistakenly placed a replacement, that's why you had to face such inconvenience. Then I said that I don't mind as I wrote in my review. Then he said that he has called me after reading my review. And at last, he said that in future, if I need any assistance regarding any other order, then I can seek support from him after telling his name to other executive(s). So, this is another example of Flipkart's excellent customer service.
