Last week, I ordered a book for INR 700/-, and it was supposed to be delivered 2 days back (Order OD30617062282)...On supposed delivery day, I received a call from flipkart saying that the book I ordered (with CC payment done) is not available (out of stock now) for delivery, so they have to cancel my last week order at their end in their system. I used other online sites for electronics, baby items earlier… but this the first time an online store canceling a paid order after a week time to my surprise !! .
Then after an hour that day itself, I browsed to flipkart website, I found the same book is in-stock today, but with the revised price of INR 850/- now. I called the flipkart call center immediately, and asked them if their new price revision is the reason that they could not honor my earlier paid order. The customer support exec was frank to agree that the bottom line was this price increase from last week (when I ordered) to my delivery day. And, that they will reverse my CC transaction now. As of date I did not receive my refund amount though....
I do not wanted to waste my time and effort fighting on this incident with flipkart…
But I learned one thing: Before ordering any item on Flipkart, Think Ten Times Now a days !! …
Flipkart can increase the price of it anytime until the product reaches you, and they are losing their credibility, and honoring customer orders..
