Having got a chance to live outside of India and shop in other countries, I have had the experience to see how the websites that sell products work. Having seen and experienced all of this, FLIPKART was a very pleasant surprise to me. The way, the site has been set up is thoroughly professional. They deliver what they promise. And believe me delivery is super fast. In most cases(if not all), delivery is done by Flipkart themselves. You typically get goods that you order in max 3 working days. Not only this, moment you order, the processing starts and you can track this on their website. In most other websites, I have seen that once you order, there is quite a bit of delay between the payment and shipping of the product. But I have not seen such a case with Flipkart. They seem to know how to be the best and stay there on the top.
Only once I have seen a delay in the product not being shipped for 3 days after the payment. Very unusual of Flipkart. So I wrote to them and to my surprise the response was immediate and with a proper apology. How many sites will do this today? We all understand sometimes there are unknown or unexpected delays. But even in this experience, the order was delivered in the estimated time which was told to me when I ordered the item. Probably, it was me, getting over exited and expecting the order to be shipped immediately as it normally is in case of Flipkart.
In short, I don't know how they manage this and what their business model is. But I am impressed and all I want to say is Flipkart rocks! Well done Flipkart and thanks!
