Citykart? Flopkart!. Review on Flipkart

The only two orders I placed with Flipkart were done when I was living in Mumbai. Both orders were for books. I was quite impressed with their service. No follow-up was required and the goods arrived bang on time.

After I moved out of Mumbai, there were a few instances when I would have placed orders with them again. However, Flipkart made sure that those orders would be given to another party. The reason? Each time they declared that they did not deliver to the area I was staying in.

I live within four kilometres of the heart of a town where most of the popular courier services are active. So what is Flipkart's problem? Amazon delivers to the same place without much ado.

This is how our Citykart becomes a killjoy. India is one market that is beheld with lusty eyes by any product seller or service provider. Success here equates to the widest coverage possible. By confining their operations to select cities or bustling towns alone, they are missing out a lot on voluminous business and customer satisfaction.

Nowadays if I have to place an online order, I never even think of Flipkart, though some of my colleagues tell me that the issues with deliveries to a particular place depend on the type of products ordered. I am not so sure about that. There is no need to spend time in investigating such possibilities anymore. I have other options.

If they are serious about becoming the first choice amongst online shoppers, they will have to transform themselves into Indikart, covering all parts of India. Otherwise they can choose to remain a Citykart aka Flopkart.
