I had purchased a Philips HD4909 Induction Cook Top(Order ID:OD21126143105, Date of purchase:26th Nov'12) from Flipkart.com on 26th November 2012 and paid through my credit card. The product was delivered at my address on 3rd Dec'12 through Flipkart's own courier service but to my utter dismay the surface glass of the Cook Top was cracked.
I lodged a complaint with Flipkart by calling up the customer service the very same day and was told that my product would be replaced on priority basis and I would get the same in another 3 to 5 days.The customer service representative was polite and also apologized for the same.On 6th Dec'12(Today Morning) I got a call from Flipkart customer service informing me that I would need to upload a photograph of the product and then their technical team would analyse it, based on their analysis it would be decided if the product is to be replaced or not. This was indeed a shocker for me as this wasn't communicated to me at all by the customer service representative when I had lodged the complaint on 3rd Dec'12. Now even after paying for the product in advance I am still waiting for it after 12 days. Not only this, the customer service representative this time was quite impolite and kept re-iterating that the product wouldn't be replaced unless I upload the photograph of the same.The lesson for me and anybody who's planning to buy anything from Flipkart is'Think Twice Before Purchasing Anything From Flipkart and Never Pay Online Using Credit/Debit Card, Only Pay Through Cash On Delivery After Inspecting The Product Thoroughly'
