5 WORST REVIEWERS ON MOUTHSHUT

I have just returned after a stint at sea. When I opened MouthShut, I was amazed to see a review on FIVE WORST REVIEWERS on Mouthshut! I read all the reviews and was disappointed to see that none of the reviewers had thought it fit to include me on their list!

I also found that save for one writer, who boldly mentioned five names and got lammed for it by fellow reviewers with their comments, others had conveniently skirted this issue and wrote to say that this type of subjects should be junked.

Frankly, I was quite excited and could not wait to post a review on this subject.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTING THE 5 WORST

I must mention at the out set that all the five reviewers that I shall honor on my list are:

A. Excellent, classy writers.

B. Most read, respected and commented.

C. They are all assets to the world of MouthShut.

These critera must be met to get included in the Worst Five List. Make no mistake.

I have totally ignored poor writers from this list because they don’t deserve to mentioned one way or the other.

Notwithstanding the above, many writers are bombastic, trite, opinionated and difficult to read and understand at times. Many post reviews at the drop of a hat on boring subjects…so on and so forth.

Okay LETS GO FOR THE FIVE!

This young Medico in the making has been on MouthShut for a long long time. He finds a few hours each day to write/read/comment reviews. It’s a mystery to me when does he find time to read Medical Books.

His mastery of the English language is first class. Obviously he has been to a top class school and worked hard on his writing skills.

However, he writes so long that most times I end up yawning well before the end of the review!  This has happened on many occasions. He has major flaws, one of them being trite, pretentious, holier than thou sort of writer.

20 years down the line I see Karana as a top class Medico and a top class writer and author of books on Medicine. Do not be surprised to see him being hosted on talk shows. He may also end up authoring books on fiction too. May be already has. I don’t know.

SUYOG

Qualitatively Suyog is a better writer than Karana.  Quantitatively he is a BORE! Of late he has started to spill over his reviews to the comments page and makes readers suffer in the process. I have started to rapid read Suyog’s and them blindly rate him Very Useful.

JUST DID IT

Generally readable, but writes as if he is on a pedestal, divorced from ground realities. I use the Bottoms to Top approach to read his reviews.  He can be exasperating at times. Some of his reviews start in a way to excite and then by the time you reach the end, there is no steam left.

The fourth and fifth place are reserved for women writers.  Unfortunately the women writers I wanted to include here no longer read/write/comment on MouthShut. But both were Star Writers.  So there is no point in including them on my list. But YOU can guess who and post their names when you comment. Prizes assured for the correct names!

THE FEW I CONSIDERED

I tried hard to include at least two ladies from the current crop of women writers.  Some who I did consider were:

Lavagopal, HappyZ, Cousins2, Kalyaniraat, Keri, Jayashri,  Shobita, Koshish., Eagle Eye and many more. I did not find them classy enough like Karana and Suyog.  They failed to light a fire in my belly. Sadly,  none of their reviews stirred me sufficiently or for that matter made me jump from my chair and hence  they were out of contention.

Among the men I did take a hard look at Davie, Tongue in Cheek, Spookey, Amjad, Mouthshutdomcom. and a few others.   Munir came close but failed to make it to my merit list.for more reasons than one.

CONCLUSION

Just as reviews are written on the Five Best, I feel strongly that my fellow MS writers should write on the Five worst too.

Lets have fun! and BE OBJECTIVE TOO. This is a challenging topic. Have guts will write should be your attitude.

I need to work much more than I have on this topic.
