Presenting actresses who can hardly act but still got films for other obvious reasons.
Mamta Kulkarni: Who has not seen her daring display of so called guts and glory on a magazine cover. That surely brought her into limelight and she managed to get a few movies too! But soon the public came face to face with the facts. Neither was she that charming to hold on to peoples liking nor could she perform.
Rambha: Woah. size does matter. And when that matter takes shape to Rambha, I don't know what to say. If you guys saw Kyunki Mein Juth Nahi Bolta, there was a true comment that Govinda makes about her size and weight. Perhaps she should take that statement as the voice of the masses and pack her bags. Perhaps Vandana Luthra(VLCC) might be itching to get introduced to Rambha. But, even then where is the acting. Even the specialist dance heroine Helen could act better than any of the ladies mentioned here.
Sonam: When she made her debut she was tipped to be the next sex-siren of Bollywood, but unfortunately the only sirens that went off were alarm sirens. If showing off bodies in miniscule swimsuits was acting I wonder how many successful actresses we'd have in Bollywood. I don't know what more to say about this babe.
Sangeeta Bijlani: She came to the big screen with tremendous hype. Salman's girlfriend, successful model. She did have the screen presence, the looks and all. But it was all good to look at till the time she was quiet. The moment she opened her mouth all was lost. I hope now she doesn't start playing cricket!
Shilpa Shirodkar: Here goes one more of the same lot. Though she was a bit better than the ones above, she too was the show and row kinds. I can still remember the thumping dance scenes she did in the rains and the'seductive' waterfall song:)! Where have all the actresses gone!
The reason why I didn't mention the likes of Kim Sharma, Riya Sen, Esha Deol, Shamita Shetty is because to even term them as worst actresses is giving them credit. Bollywood should identify a new genre for such'actresses' - maybe SHOWGIRLS is the right word. What say?
