3 idiot is based on chetan bhagat's five point something but its not the book that you want to see in the form of a film
when you go out.There are only a few points from the book in film . otherwise it is a totally different screenplay and movie. Five point something was an extremely popular book and loved by all people and so it is important to know that it is not the book they are going to go out and see it is different from what the book was. There are 3 guys who are studying in an engineering college and there is a love interest as it is based on Chetan Bhagat's book and so he has been given credit for that. But the story is completely different. It's narrated in a lighter way and there are moments which are dramatic . There are things which can fundamentally change the way you think. I hope it goes to the people and they appreciate it. Although the writing is quite jarring and clumsy this, however could be intentional in an effort to create a narrative of authentic colloquial speech.It is well constructed book with many characters and a captivating plot. Definitely on right side of five point something on a scale of 10.
