1. Amitabh Bachchan

Let’s start with the best. This man has invented style. Tall, dark and very handsome. Baritone voice and a smile that can melt the hardest heart. A gentleman at heart. There’s nothing put on. He is as real as they come. If a lady goes out for a date with him, she can expect a royal treatment with him treating her like a princess, opening doors and waiting upon her with tenderness. Watch him in KBC and you will know what I mean. Amazingly, age has only improved his style.

Surprised, huh ? Well, he is the most macho man of Bollywood. Dark with intense, brooding eyes. He does not have to try too hard. He is all man. He gives solid and reliable vibes. Chivalrous to the core, he is also unconventional and an original. I was not a bit surprised to see Mohini running back into his strong arms in the last scene of ‘Hum dil de chuke sanam’. Which fool of a woman would leave this hunk for a silly Salman ?

3. Jackie Shroff

Dreamy brown eyes, soft voice and broad-shouldered. He was absolutely spectacular in ‘Rangeela’ as a successful and a lonely film star. Urmila must have been blind or totally crazy to give him a pass. He always gives this ‘very much in control’ vibes and you can’t expect him to ever get angry. He looks that cool. I hated him in ‘Devdas’ though where he was made to look like a caricature. This man is too good for some of the roles he has enacted.

4. John Abraham

Watch ‘Jism’ and die a slow death. This man looks absolutely deadly. His looks and performance improve with every movie. He can look tormented, angry, very-much-in-love and sincere with equal ease. There are no words to describe his smile - it’s that good. I am an absolute fan of this hunk. Somebody stop me or I’ll just go on and on about him.

5. Bobby Deol

He may not be a successful actor but his looks more or less make up for it. I suppose his father and his brother overshadowed this unlucky man. He has an eternally young and a vulnerable face with an amazingly macho body. His lost eyes and that original hair style just add up to his charm. Not at the top of my list but he definitely figures here.
