This has to be the most interesting topic to write because I could never associate cricket or any other sport with looks or glamour or being crazy about any sportsperson just because he looks good, but it did happen to me when I started watching CRICKET,
My most loved sport, I still love it in spite of a ordinary world cup 2007 and India's forgettable performance, i want cricket to be always on top and rule as it has done for so many years, because no sport entertains you the way cricket does and nothing is more exciting to watch than cricket and if you have cricketers like WASIM AKRAM, BRET LEE, SHANE BOND, RAHUL DRAVID, STEPHEN FLEMING, SHAHID AFRIDI who were not
just brilliant or exciting cricketers to watch but the fact that they
were so good-looking added on to their popularity and fan-following, i'll list here some of the man whom I enjoy watching on field and otherwise just because they look great and are
Great cricketers as well...
WASIM AKRAM
He has to be my biggest crush ever in cricket and otherwise too.WASIM
AKRAM has to be one of the greatest bowlers in world cricket and the
moment he use to bowl I use to be on the edge of my seat.He had
such a great personality and presence and his talent was what made him
the kind of cricketer he was.I was always in awe of him, i loved the
sight of seeing him bowl.He was a great combination of looks and talent
and that he came across as a very intelligent and level headed
cricketer just added on to his appeal.He is the stuff great cricketers
are made of and I am his one of the biggest admirers.Another Pakistani
cricketer I found extremely good-looking was SHAHID AFRIDI, i could
watch the most boring matches just to catch a glimpse of his, really a
sight to watch.............................
RAHUL DRAVID
When SAURAV GANGULY AND RAHUL DRAVID made an entry into international
cricket, i had a crush on both of them, i couldn't decide who is the
better of the two, in terms of looks, Saurav was this handsome man
whereas Rahul had that innocent school boy charm but then I shifted my
loyalities to Rahul as far as looks went(but I always had a soft corner
for Saurav).For me Rahul was a dream looker, tall, well built and that he
could play so well was a added bonus.The only thing I did not
liked or like about Rahul was the fact that he was never a
aggressive cricketer, very slow and boring at times otherwise
everything about Rahul Dravid rocks, except his captaincy, he should hand
it over to someone else.Another Indian cricketer I was crazy about was
IRFAN PATHAN, I have a snap with him and met him thrice, i was so crazy
about him that I made so many efforts to meet him when he had come to
Bangalore, really a very good-looking and cute cricketer, i hope he comes
back to form becuse he is very talented.
BRET LEE\BRANDON JULIAN
I don't think I have seen a more better looking cricketer than BRENDON
JULUIAN from Australia, he had come for a very breif period of time but
i was completely crazy over his looks.He must have been 6"5
inches tall and devastatingly good looking, i had a huge crush on him at
that time when he had come but then he disaperaed from cricket, that is
the only memory of him that I have.Bret Lee ofcourse has been my
evergreen crush, love his bowling, his action, his looks and he also comes
across as very very sweet and level headed guy from Australia, which
adds to his charm.BRET LEE ROCKS..........................
SHANE BOND
I saw Shane Bond for the first time in the 2003 world cup, everybody
kept talking about his bowling but i was really in love with his
looks.He had a faint resemblance to Tom Cruise, very clean
good looks and his smile is too good.I had recorded a match between
Australia-New Zealand in the last world cup , so that I can catch a
glimpse of Shane Bond whenever I want too, i still have that recording
and I still love Shane Bond, both for his bowling and his looks.STEPHEN
FLEMING was another cricketer I love from NEW ZEALAND, his looks and
personality are somewhat similar to RAHUL DRAVID, both come across as
very good-looking and classy cricketers.
JACQUE KALLIS
I don't find him that good looking now but when he had started playing
for SOUTH AFRICA, i had a massive crush on him.He again was very
good-looking, clean good looks, very cute too and also was a brilliant
cricketer, i have watched many a matches just for him.Aso I found JONTY
RHODES and LANCE KLUISENAR very cute from South Africa.
I also liked cricketers like BRIAN
LARA, MURLITHARAN, SANGAKARRA, ANDREW FLINTOFF, STEWE WAUGH, RICKY
PONTING, RAMNARESH SARWAN who are not conventionally good looking
cricketers but excude a charm that make them very likable as
individuals.So that complete my list of good lookkiing cricketers, i
