I am sure, my friends here on mouthshut won't have heard most of them but I am a die hard PANCHAM fan and I like to dig out good compositions by him which couldn't make it to charts in their time. So here's my list.

  1. NA SOYENGE NA SONE DENGE.

Film: Mr. Romeo(1974)

  • Just imagine. heroine is getting romantic, hero is feeling sleepy. heroine sings - * Na soyenge, na sone denge. aaj saari raat, hogi mulaqat.

hero sings - Savere baat karenge to nahi chalega?

heroine sings - chalega magar saari raat mera dil jalegaa.

A very beautiful composition that only Pancham da could have managed.

  1. MERE HOSH LELO.

Film: Bandish(1980)

  • This song does something to me. I can just close my eyes and listen to this song forever and ever and ever.

  • Mere Hosh Lelo, Deewana Bana Do. Koi Baat Chhedo, Fasaanaa Bana Do.

  • TUMHE CHHOD KE.

Film: Basera(1981)

  • Kishore/Asha/Pancham/Gulzar. A Deadly Combination.

  • Tumhe Chhod ke Ab Jeene Ko Jee To Nahi, Tumhe Chhod Ke Mar Jaane Ko Jee Kartaa Hai, Tumhaare Bina Jeena-Marnaa Kya.

  • MAUSAM PYAAR KA.

Film: Sitamgar(1985)

  • Right from the first notes of Guitar to the last piece of piano, this song is a journey in itself.

  • Mausam Pyar ka, ranga badalta rahe, yun hi chalta rahe, tere mere pyar ka kaarvaan.

Isi haseen safar mein beete ye zindgaani, do humsafar, manzil anjaani.

Ab aaye bahaar, ya chale aandhiyaan.'

  1. TU TU HAI WAHI.

Film: Ye VADA RAHA(1982)

  • I am sure this song will find place in other lists too. It has been my favourite ever since I was seven, that was the time this film was released and I used to stop doing whatever I was doing whenever this song palyed on radio.

  • Tu tu hai wahi, dil ne jise apna kaha, tu hai jahaan, main hoon wahan, ab to ye jeena tere bin hai sazaa,

Mil jaayein is tarah, do lehre jis tarah,

Phir ho naa judaa, haan ye vada raha.

FIve is too less a number. Please let me know your comments on this list. Please don't forget to enter your comments.
