From the heart of a Scorpio Lover. Review on Five Hindi Songs I Would Sing for my Beloved

One of the best songs from Kishore-RD combo which gave us many memorable hits. What better way to impress your girl than to tell her you cant live without her. The background music is just haunting and Kishore da breathes life into this song with his superb modulation. My favorite part of this song would be?Tumhein Koi Aur Dekhe, To Jalta Hai Dil, Badi Mushkilon Se Phir, Sambhalta Hai Dil, Kya Kyya Jatan Karte Hai Tumhein Kya Pata?. Wow what a line that indicates to what extent the lover can be really possessive. Kishore Da was at his peak at the time of this song, and he really brings it alive.

1. Aap Ki Aankhon Mein, Ghar, R.D.Burman

On a rainy day afternoon, when its quite lazy, call your girl to your place, cook up some hot chai with snacks, snuggle up with her and then play this song. Yes it is the song for a lovely lazy afternoon when you just want to relax and float in a dream world. Quite tough for her not to get attracted with this song. Gulzar, Kishore Da and Pancham team up to create this romantic masterpiece, which takes you into a completely different world. I have never seen Kishore da putting so much emotion like he did for this song. Just look at this line? Lab Hile To Mogare Ke Phool, Khilte Hai Kahin, Aap Ki Aankhon Mein Kya Saahil Bhi Milta Hain Kahi, Aap Ki Khamoshiyan Bhi Aap ki Aawaz Hai?. Your silence speaks for itself, wah Gulzar bhai, only you can come up with such soul stirring stuff.

1. Tum Aa Gaye Ho, Aandhi, R.D.Burman

No better way to welcome a girl into your life, than with this song. I mean when you tell her that she is the light without which your life would be dark, its hard for her to resist you.?Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa Gaya Hai, Nahin To Charagoon se Lau Jaa Rahi Thi?. Gulzar-Kishore-Lata-Pancham is a combination that spells class from the word go and rarely has that combination disappointed. Gulzar?s lyrics really explore the depths of emotions yet in a very simple way. Sample this?Kahan Se Chale, Kahan Ke Liye, Yeh Khabar Nahin Thi Magar, Koi Bhi Sira, Jahan Jaa Mila Wohi Tum Milonge, Ke Hum Tak Tumhari Dua Aa Rahi Thi?. Kishore and Lata rhyme perfectly together to create one of the best romantic songs of all time.

1. Jo Tumko Ho Pasand, Safar, Kalyanji Anandji

This is a special romantic song for me. For one its sung by Mukesh, whom we generally associate with tragic songs And Safar was an album totally dominated by Kishore da, who had two of the best numbers in it the title song and?Jeevan Se Bhari?, and it would have been tough for any singer to make an impact in such an album. But then Mukesh was not just any singer, he was a class act by himself and I feel one of the most underrated. He was unfairly labeled as a tragic singer, when he could sing such wonderful romantic ditties like?Chandan Sa Badan?, ?Chaand Si Mehbooba?, ?Tauba Yeh Matwali Chaal? to name a few. But this song should appeal to your girl for the depth of emotion it has.?Tum Din Ko Agar Raat Kaho Raat Kahenge?. Well its quite tough to resist such a besotted lover. And what about this piece? De the Na Saat Aap To Mar Jaate Hum Kabhi Ke, Poore Hue Hai Aap Se, Armaan Zindagi Ke, Hum Zindagi Ko Aapki Saugaath Kahenge?. Whew can it be more be more emotionally intense than this, this is what I call passionate love, of surrendering your entire life for love. And Mukesh brings life to this song in a way none can. I mean I cant imagine any 1 but Mukesh singing this song, only he could explore the depths of emotion with his voice. Ironically the lyrics of this song were written by Indivar, who later became notorious for all those ice cream khaonge songs which he wrote for Bappi Lahiri.

1. Bahut Shukriya Badi Meharbani, Ek Musafir Ek Haseena, O.P.Nayar

A list of romantic songs without one from O.P.Nayyar, ho nahin sakta. And if you want to tell your girl that she is welcome in your life, just put on this song. Sweet, soothing and so romantic, with Mohd Rafi and Asha Bhonsle as usual giving their best for the maestro.?Bahut Shukriya Badi Meharbani Meri Zindagi Mein Huzoor Aap Aaye, Kadam Choom Lo Ya Yeh Aankhen Bicha Du, Karoon Kya Yeh Meri Samaj Mein Na Aaye?. If you love a girl deeply and really want to impress her, just send her the lyrics of this song. Flowers are the way to a girl?s heart and if she finds a poem composed from?Phoolon Ke Rang Se, Dil Ke kalam Se?, that would be too much to resist. Neeraj wrote some wonderful lyrics, but for some reasons not known, he really didn?t achieve as much success. S.D.Burman and Kishore da together came up with gems of songs, but this one is a crown jewel. Also its waltzy tune would be perfect if you wanna do a waltz with your girl.
