There are times when we crave, we yearn for certain things, we dont get them and we get frustrated, disappointed about the whole thing.
There is this lovely saying: There are two tragedies in life. ONE IS'NOT TO' GET YOUR HEART'S DESIRE AND THE OTHER IS TO GET IT. And yet sometimes we desire and pray.
Today, were I to ask for 5 Gifts, they would go like this-
'A friend is someone who knows the song in my heart, and can sing it back to I when I have forgotten the words.'
A friend**, even just one will do, but a good friend, who will be there, when I need to share, good times, bad times, joys, disappointments, successes, failures, Just to share the warmth and tenderness, feel the burden lightened from my shoulders. A friend is someone you can tell your wildest of thoughts and share the deepest of pain, and then feel good about it!
I recently found a very good friend, who just fits into all that I said above and that's what was meant when I said God always gives us before we ask, we should have that much trust in Him though. We can go around bitching, gossiping, clubbing( on those Free-for-gals nites), seeing flop movies together(now you know how I went to watch ARMAAN), talking nonsense, endless hours of window shopping, walking up and down Fashion Street and Linking Road and still no one to make an opinion or judge you by these stupid acts!
Someone to love

Have you felt that feeling of being in love, no less an intoxication that being high on smack or cocaine, trust me, I haven't tried the latter, but I'm sure it cant be better than the former, that too sans any side effects, and sans any holes in your pockets. Someone to think of when you are happy, someone to think of when you are sad, someone you think about before drifting off to sleep, forcing him to make an appearance in your dreams.But all the time remembering that giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Not to expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it does not, just to be content it grew in yours.

Birds of a feather flocking together, dinner table discussions, arguments, coming home to people who dote on YOU, who wait for YOU to have dinner together, hear what YOU have to say about all that happened at work, who think of YOU when they go shopping, who think of what YOU would be doing when YOU go away from them. Celebrating all kinds of days, Diwali, Christmas, those rites and rituals, early morning oil baths together, celebrating Birthdays, gifting each other, cooking each others favorite dishes, going for picnics together, sitting together and finding solutions to each others problems, a loving family is support like no other!
A Home*
Home is where is the heart is *God, give me a home, a place to come back to, where chimes hung on the door welcome me in with their happy tunes, where I can kick off my shoes, put up my feet, rest my back, calm my mind, nurse my pains, an asylum where I can be what I am, no pretensions, no masks, no make-up, my own cozy den, where the huge glass panes let in the sunlight when I are feeling low and where the thick curtains make it cozy and warm on a wintry night, where the aroma of home-cooked food brings immense pleasure, where each wall has seen a lifetime of happenings, each nook would have volumes to say if it could speak, where I can laugh like a lunatic and sob my heart out with equal ease. Home- a temple where God resides both in and out of my soul, a place where love grows, pain eases and peace prevails even amidst fights and mess ups.

God, give me the strength to have faith in myself, to do what I feel is fair, and to abide by the consequences of my actions. Strength to stand by my friends and people I love, in whatever they do, strength to cope with failures, pain, anguish, grief, and yet face the world with a smile, strength to make us immune to what other people think of us, people who wish ill for us, strength to repay bad actions by good actions, good actions by better actions! To give us inner strength that shines through and reflects as true beauty! AMEN!
