Cheers... Review on Five Favourite Beverages

Ok... now before I make u guys feel that I am one piakkar, bewri let me make it very clear that... I am allowed to booze!!! I mean my Papa knows it and I do it only because he allows me to, I wouldnt have EVER done it otherwise!! :)

As summers are approaching... I am reminded of ''beating the heat'' issues that we Delhiets face each year. And for me, nothing works better than taking ALOT of liquids... trust me, I swollow like some 20-25 glasses of water''beverages'', let me list the most interesting and exciting drinks I have tasted!!! I know how to make each of those, for I took Cocktail-Making Classes long back (one thing that my bf doesnt know... I am gonna give him a surprise soon ;) ) Since I like Cocktails more than gross drinks... my list will include more of cocktails!!! So here's my list...

Bikini Martini... I remember how I had gotten soooo atracted to the name when I was at Michigan last year. This one's a little high on alcohol and I get a high with just one glass of it. It is a mixture of Gin,Peach Schnapps and De Kuyper. A very easy to make drink, it has almost 30% alcohol due to 2 ingridients being alcoholic. Usualy a good cocktail should have not more that 20-%-25% of alcohol, but for those who like strong drinks, this is one. What makes it more classy is that it is served in a Maritni Glass ( The one with a long handle and small top!!! Though Cocktails are generally a girl's drink... this one is liked by men as well. A glass of this at any good bar would be 850 Rs/- .

Ignorance is Bliss... yes again this is one I tried in Michigan... and I havn't seen it on any menu in India as yet. The name again caught my eyes, but more interesting were its ingredients. I like alcohol with fruit juices, for 2 reasons, one, juices reduce the bitter taste of alcohol and secondly I feel that the effect of it is also reduced, so there r less chances of a hang over. The ingridients of this drink. I dint see in any Indian store... it is a blend of...Campari,Stolichnya Ohranj vodka, Passion Fruit Juice and Apple Juice. The drink has a strangely ''spicy'' taste. This is again Served in a Martini glass. The alcohol content is around 18.8%... So this is a good drink for those who wanna try sumthing really light!!!

Zombie...Now I learnt this one at my Cocktail lessons, why I chose to learn it was because its the ONLY cocktail begining with a 'z'. I know its a strange reason... but then english is my subject so I apply it everywhere!!:) This is a really really really interesting drink, with so many ingridients clubbbed together, and trust me if u miss even one of those, it gets totally messed up!!! It is made with...Wood 100 Dark Rum, Gold/Spiced Rum, White Rum, Apricot Brandy, Sugar syrup, Pinapple juice and lime juice. The taste is mostly like fruit drinks but a little tangy due to lemon juice!!! Its very deep and has a lasting taste in ur mouth. The alcohol content is really high for all the rums it takes...it is about 31.7%!!! So it can make u drunk in 1 glass. it is served in a different kind of glass specially made for cocktails which is called a High Ball glass.

PS. I LOVE YOU ... My friend gaurav tried to maaro line with this one... But I dint know the name of the drink then, and uska kachra ho gaya....lolz!! sauri Gauri!! This one's not very strong with about 20% alcohol.VERY VERY Creamy and it almosst melts in ur mouth!!! ummm...!!! made from....Wood 100Dark Rum, Disaronno Amaretto, Kahlua, Amarula Cream and Double cream!!! It becomes lovely when garnished with chocolate powder... u can even eat a chocolate with it to reduce the effect of alcohol. and it tastes great!!! I think its the best for people who are just starteing to booze.. as it is not at all gross on the taste buds!!! :)

and finally... the BEST!!!

Sex On The Beach... This is like the ''commonest'' Cocktail for us Indians... available at Rs. 550-600/- at any and every bar, this can be easily made at home as well. Made from Red vodka (preferably Stolichnaya), Peach Schnapps, orange juice and Cranberry juice. Its like this glass full of RED think and deep liquid... and looks SO PASSIONATE... reason for the name given to it!!! It is very very very low on alcohol and u might just feel u had fruit juice, the alcohol content being 11.4%... even if u take like 5 drinks, u will still be totally in ur senses. Try it the next time u go to a nearby restro-bar and trust me u'll love it!!! This is one drink u can have even during the day time!!! Its served is a BIG High Glass, and I have even tried it in a ''steel glass'' at home :P
