Dear Deepanjali,
Its been close to 4 years now since we first met. There was the inital hesitation we had in our relationship but then slow and steadily our love grew.
Those carefree days, holding of hands and sharing of ideas and thoughts at the India Gate park, Sunday winter afternoons at Lodhi gardens and Qutub Minar - those were the magnificent days and then we got married. I mean post marriage also we have had fun;-)
I wanted to say a few things to you without sounding like an idiot and MS has given the chance to say those things even if I sound like an idiot.

Girl you are to me,
All that a woman should be,
And I dedicate my life to you, always
A love like yours is rare,
It must have been sent from up above
And I know you'll stay this way for, always
And we both know,
That our love will grow
And forever, it will be You and me
*Ooh, you're like the sun Chasing all the rain away
When you come around You bring brighter days *
You're the perfect one,
For me, and you forever will be
And I will love you so for, always
*Come with me my sweet,
Let's go make a family
And they will bring us joy for always
Oh boy I love you so,
Can't find enough ways to let you know
But you can be sure I'm yours, for always

I will always cherish some of these moments we shared together .and first on this list is the time we had in Bhaktapur, Nepal(Honeymoon).
The night we spent on the big jhoola watching the stars on the hill in an almost empty resort. How coincidentally(The Royal Family masaccare forced us but thats another story) we reached there without any plans and the closeness and the understanding we attained will always be etched in my memory.
-
Take me to your heart, Show me where to start,
Let me play the part of your first love;
All the stars are right,
Every wish is ours tonight, my love.
.
*Got to believe in magic,
Tell me how two people find each other
In a world that's full of strangers;
You've got to believe in magic,
Somethin' stronger than the moon above
'Cause it's magic when two people fall in love.

I enjoyed the period when we were searching for a house to stay in Delhi and then post marriage setting up the house - just the 2 of us.
Then during the first year of our marriage we realised that we both were travel nerds and ended up going on vacation 10 times in 12 months causing a lot of agony to our parents. Those trips from Kasuali to Nanital to Dalhousie to Amritsar and Ajmer and Chamba were the best we ever had and to top it all someone up there decided to extend our honeymoon and sent us overseas .
And the countless sweet nothings we whispered to each other everywhere we went, those small gestures of love which surrounded us, the food which we used to cook together, and the petty arguments we had especially the one for and against Astrology.

Close your eyes,
give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating,
Do you understand
Do you feel the same,
Am I only dreaming
Is this burning an eternal flame *
I believe it's meant to be, darling
I watch you when you are sleeping
You belong with me,
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming
Or is this burning an eternal flame

Then there was Pokhra - You will never forget it, NEVER. It was our honeymoon and I took you for an UPHILL Cycle ride 14 kms - Did you ever think that you married a nutty guy especially after I told you that we planned to do white water rafting the very next day .
Cameroon Highlands, Malaysia - stirs up nostalgia and I am sure you would agree. The beautiful cottage, hill station, Tea estates, Cactus Garden, Butterfly park and a 5-month pregnant wife. We had a whale of a time here especially the trek thru the small nature trail which you initially resisted but enjoyed the most later on. And we had a swing here too .and complete privacy for our whispers.
Then we had those separation times when you were in Mumbai and me in KL, Malaysia. I think we went thru it pretty well - it was love which helped us and the fact that a part of this love in the form of baby was coming. I am still surprised that you delivered a few hours after we met and the fact you drove all the way to airport to pick me up drives me CRAZZZY still.

Tonight I celebrate my love for you
It seems the natural thing to do
Tonight no one's gonna find us
We'll leave the world behind us
When I make love to you *
.
Tonight I celebrate my love for you
And that midnight song is gonna come shining through
Tonight there'll be no distance between us
What I want most to do
Is to get close to you tonight

Another moment very close to my heart is the 1st Calligraphy painting we made together and just when the whole house was as worst as it can be with clay, colors, plaster of paris etc - Ding Dong. They were 10 of them and it was a site they will talk about with their grandchildren - I am referring to your relatives who arrived without any notice to checkout on their newly wed daughter;-) The way we tried to adjust and clean up the mess and change as they made themselves comfortable giving us odd-wacky-not-right-in-the-head glances was priceless. We laughed-and-laughed after they had left.

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
*I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do*
I'll be there for you
(I'll be there for you by Bon Jovi)

The way you tried hard to teach me to use chopsticks in a chinese restaurant and failed - it was lovely. I finally did learn to use chopsticks in Singapore. You helped me learn to drive the Car and to make glass paintings & calligraphy. The mad passion for books we share - thanks(no thanks actually) for introducing me to the world of OSHO.
There are so many other personal moments, instances of time which I cannot write here but we both are aware of .these memories will always linger and so will those places. And such remembrances would always stir up the love, if ever need be, come to MS and read this review .
I want to end this with my fav song .

Look at this face,
I know the years are showing
Look at this life,
I still don't know where it's going
*I don't know much,
But I know I love you
And that may be all I need to know.*
Look at these eyes,
They've never seen what mattered
Look at this dream,
So beaten and so battered
*I don't know much,
But I know I love you
And that may be all I need to know.
(Don't Know Much by Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville)
