Abhijeet Bhattacharjee, or in short Abhijeet, a Kanpur based guy, was launched, as much as I know, by the legend R.D. Burman in a movie called Anand hi Anand. But he got his recognition from the movie called Baaghi. A soft voice but made his place in heart with some very popular songs in the mid nineties. Of course, the new generation singers like Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, K. Kay, Shaan, etc. have really made his existence in the Bollywood a little obscure. But he has made his presence felt with some songs in his kitty. Films like Yes Boss, Chalte Chalte and Asoka had really marked some his excellent numbers in the decade of 2000. Apart from the movies, he appeared in some of the private albums, which apparently didn’t work. It is always said that his voice had a striking resemblance with the singing maestro Late Kishore Kumar. He surely has been understated and underestimated as according to his talent and capabilities. Nobody can disagree the fact that is much more ingenious than mediocre singers like Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Shaan, etc. In my top list, I have kept songs irrespective of whether they worked or remembered or not at all. I have always liked and praised the voice quality of him:
