Krishna Cafe Koramangala(* * * * *)

Whenever I want to have idli I head straight to Krishna Cafe. This place serves Delicious idli and variety of thosa. Their afternoon Tamil meal is awesome and they serve you with a smile on their face. which is very rare in Bangalore

My favourite- Idli, Idiyappam, sambhar rice, filter coffee

My rating -( - bad. - excellent) Food- Very tasty tamil meal, Idli, thosa, Idiyappam . Budget - Very reasonable rate

Ambiance - It is clean and just like any other fast food joint. With AC. Service - Friendly, quick service

Restaurant Address** - 1st Floor, 5th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore - 560095, Landmark: Opposite Dhanalaxmi Bank, Phone: 080-41104345

Additional Notes - There is one more Krishna cafe on Bannerghatta road. But it does not have the same experience. Both in terms of service and food*

Shiok - Indiranagar( * * * * )

As the chef and owner of Shiok says "I believe that passion is what separates a good cook from a great cook". I agree, this place is not just good, it is great! Awesome food. Must try My favourite- well there are a lot. crispy potato, Golden basket, all the soups, everything with tofu or mushroom and spicy on the menu:-)

My rating - * * * * ( - bad. - excellent)

Food - Chinese, Pan Asian, Thai Budget - I think it is expensive. The quantity is less than the usual. But what I think it is totally worth it

Ambiance - Very good

Alcohol - Yes

Veg/Non-Veg - They serve both veg and non veg

Service - VeryGood

Restaurant Address- They are moving to Koramangala. Currently it is closed. Old address: 12, CMH Road, 2nd Floor, Indira Nagar, Bangalore- 560038, Near Citibank ATM, phone- 080 41161800, 9844309050

Additional Notes - Menon, a software engineer, gave up his job to start Shiok

*Casa Piccola - Koramangala( * * * *)

Great hang out place. They serve good casserolle and soups. I generally don't like continental food, but after 2:30- 3 pm(when most of the restaurant kitchens are closed) I prefer this place.

My Favourite: Epinard a-la Creme My rating - * * * ( - bad. - excellent)

Food - Continental Budget - Very reasonable.$($- less expensive, $ - very expensive) Ambiance - Ordinary

Veg/Non-Veg - They serve both veg and non veg

Service - Quick Restaurant

Address- 310/1, R.A Complex., Industrial Main Road, 5th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore- 560095, Behind Jyothi Nivas College, Phone- 080 25539333, 080 41104999. https://casapiccola.com/koramangala.shtml

Additional Notes - I may have some bias to this place as I have spent a lot of time with my friends when I used to stay in Koramangala

Bombay Post( * * * )

I am a big fan of BJN and Bombay:-) but really this place is good. Bollywood lovers would like the ambiance and the names in the food menu. I think theire starters are really big, so be careful when you order. Good place to go with big groups. They also will help you create customized buffet for large enough group

My favourite- palak chat. must try *

My rating - * * * *( - bad. - excellent)

Food - North Indian *

Budget - I think going for some celebration would be worth it. But if you just want to have your meal and get out then I think some might find this one expensive

Ambiance** - Good. Old bollywood film start photos adds to the beauty

Alcohol - Yes

Veg/Non-Veg - They serve both veg and non veg *

Service** - Acceptable

Restaurant Address- 1, Carlton Towers, Airport Road, Bangalore- 560017, Opposite Diamond District, Phone - 080 41113939 *

Additional Notes - For such a high scale restaurant, the restroom really sucks! I hope they do something about it

Malgudi - Ring Road( * * )

Great concept. the four different cuisines of the south in one place. R.K Laxman's sketches and solid wooden beams makes you will feel that you are in the malgudi! My favourite- Nir dhosa and kadala kari.the best!

My rating - * * ( - bad. - excellent)

Budget -$$$ Food - South Indian. Karnataka, Kerela, Andhra and Tamilnadu cuisines

Ambiance - Very good. I love the lamps and paintings! Veg/ Non-Veg - They serve both veg and non-veg

Service - Average

RestaurantAddress - #98/3, Ring Road, Doddanekkundi, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore - 560036, Landmark: Near Chilli Pepper, Restaurant Phone: 080-25234166, 25234167

Additional Notes - Malgudi is a fictitious town in India created by R.K. Narayan in his novels and short stories. It forms the setting for most of Narayan's works. Starting with his first novel, Swami and Friends, all but one of his fifteen novels and most of his short stories take place here. Narayan has successfully portrayed Malgudi as a microcosm of India
