Gamer's delight!

I seem to be churning out reviews faster and faster! I just can't help it. I seem to be affected by the compulsive behavioural syndrome. Anyway, here I am writing a review on 5 best PS2 games, which is a very subjective topic and I know many people will disagree with my choices.

5. BRIAN LARA INTERNATIONAL CRICKET 2005

Codemasters waited for a long time before launching this game. Finally, when it was released, it created shockwaves because it was far better than EA's Cricket 2005. Simple gameplay and decent graphics mean that this game is at number five. The only negative point:- no autoplay feature.

4. FORMULA 1 2005

Another brilliant game from EA. I love Formula One and have played various games of F1 such as Grand Prix Arcade, F1 2003 and F12004. But this is by far the best! There is also a sentimental reason of putting this game at number four: the presence of India's Narain Karthikeyan. Yes, the former Jordan driver is there in the game and as Indians, we should be proud of his achievements. Besides, pit stops have also been added to make the game more interesting and realistic. All you self-proclaimed speed demons, test yourself at world famous chicanes such as eau Rouge and the Parabolica, to name but a few.

3. TEKKEN 5

A brilliant game and a significant improvement over previous versions. this is old-school fighting at its best! Need I say more? Just check this game out because it amazed me- a huge thing considering I am no Tekken fan. Various stages of difficulty mean that even beginners can play this game. truly, a game for  all ages.

2. GRAND WORLD TOUR SOCCER 2006

Which game is this? This would be the most common reaction of people reading this review. For the record, this is a game of Sony's forb the soccer fan. Although the graphics are not that great, various modes of gameplay guaremtee a satisfying experience. This game is not for everyone, especially die-hard soccer fans, who will not tolerate lack of facial recreation and other things. But for an average gamer like me, this game is fine, thank you. FIFA street is also exceptionally good, no doubt about that.

1. WWE SMACKDOWN SERIES

This is my favourite series of games! Right from Smackdown 1 to Smackdown Vs Raw 2006, I have played them all. With a whole horde of wrestlers, ranging from greats like Hulk Hogan to new guys like John Cena, this game has it all. In the last couple of versions, the season mode is also brilliant. Keet it up THQ! the match types are also extensive, ranging from single to tag team action to buried alive matches. Brilliant, simply brilliant.

  • So here is my list of favourite five games. If you noticed, all five games are of different genres since I have tried to pick the best from each genre. The tough decision was whether to include FIFA street and NFS: Underground or no. anyways, I hope you liked my review and please RRC it.
