She gave few more flops and then Tezaab happened that brought her into the limelight. After this movie there was no looking back and soon she became the favourite of most of the industrywalas. And one fine day this elegant lady got married to Dr. Nene but her love for movies never died out completely therefore she made a comeback and indeed a successful one. Devdas

This movie happened much later, after her marriage. Though she made comeback with yeh raste hain pyar ke but people say it was DEVDAS that was her comeback movie originally. In the character of chandramukhi, she looked amazing. Her dance had always been her asset but in this movie she gave new defination to classical dancing. Where were the mujras, the grace with which she did court dances leaves you stunned. She gave new definition to the character of chandramukhi. After Vyajyantimala if we can think of any other actress in this role then that’s Madhuri.

Beta

Dhak dhak karne laga and with her heart pounding she instantly became the heart-throb of all her fans. Hero honda became “desh ki dhadkan” later, it was Madhuri who got this title much before Hond people even thought of it. Another substantial role coming her way and she grabbed it. This time it was her mother-in-law she had to fight against. “Monster-in-law” came to Indian Cinema much before, even before Beta but even then audience liked Beta. Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja and Beta hit the screens the same time but former flopped (though was very expensive) while latter was a big hit.

But once again it was not the subject or treatment but the dhak dhak image of Madhuri that worked.

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun

Though this movie was another turning point in her life, it happened later. With this movie she left all her competitors far behind. The movie was simply amazing and Rajshree didn’t see such a success again. So we can say that Madhuri paid back her debut production house by giving one of the biggest hits in Indian Cinema.

Tezaab

Ek do teen and Madhuri was accepted by film industry. Her dance in the movie was a big crowd puller and then people knew that this lady could dance. Ek do teen was instant hit and with this Madhuri emerged as a tough competitor for then number 1 SRI DEVI. As a bar dancer, Madhuri gave a stunning performance and it was almost out of blue as till then hardly people knew anyone with the name Madhuri in bollywood. Though this movie brought Madhuri in the glamour world the title of DHAK DHAK happened later.

It was no more a dream coming true for her, but success wasn’t easy. After tezaab, it seemed that success went over her head and news started coming of her discourteous and shoddy nature. But rumours don’t last long and even in this case as well people realized in course of time that everything they read or heard was nothing but trash.

Mrityudand: -

A movie based on women as the main theme. Though it was another flop in her career but her fans got a glimpse of her acting skills in this movie. She stood for any ordinary woman in the movie, a woman who is weak and most of the times indicated as “inferior to male” (no grudges involved). It was like one woman coming up to fight and then others followed.

Very few movies on this theme are made, actually such movies don’t find audience and are therefore a big risk on the box office. Though these movies get awards in most of the movie functions, they are a bad bargain for the producers and financiers.

Most of few must be wondering as when this movie came and when it went, but I suggest it’s the must watch for the fans of this lady. The movie deal with hard-core and naked truth on Indian society and we should know about the society we live in.

Though she even gave Khalnayak and Ram Lakhan and Raja but Khalnayak was named as hero’s movie by critics and for Ram Lakhan again she didn’t get much credit. Raja came and made mark and went, but this movie didn’t bring the real Madhuri out. It was another commercial success.
