Juhi's five best movies. Review on Five Best Movies of Juhi Chawla

Alright, pls forgive if I sound biased or unfair, but I love juhi chawla. shes a fantastic actress with loads of untapped potential, a nice human being, a great family person and a cool and supportive collegue.

Surprisingly juhi has never been part of a huge bollywood movie, the biggest was probably Darr (which technically belonged to SRK, its one of her worst movies btw, shes just there to scream and run ard). she has always been in smaller films and with not so hot directors. but most of the time the films turn out to be sleeper hits e.g Jhankar beats.

Yes boss, Bol Radha bol. but she has had bad films too namely Ek Rishta(her role was so silly and not there that I felt like strangling the director), 7 1/2 phere( it was a good attempt at something different but there was only juhi to save a sinking ship which was loaded with bad sets, cheesy actors and some silly scenes. bechari juhi) and a few others, her older movies.

the list is in no particular order cos I really cant decide which is the best:

1. AAINA

juhi was typical bharati nari with her sindoor, her oiled air, her mangalsutra and her wedding vows. but wat happens when its your own sister u are protecting your husband from? her transformation is just perfect, from a geek to a mindblowing, low cut sari blouses kinda wife. she was made for the role, she underplayed her role to perfection.

1. hum hain rahi pyar ke

she won the best actress for this movie that year, and it was a big thing cos actresses dun win awards for comedies! as this tomboyish madrasi girl  she literally storms into aamirs and the kids lives and makes them start living and smiling. her warmth and happiness just makes this movie come alive.

1. Phir bhi dil hai hindustani

the film wasnt exactly anything to write home about, it was too smart for the common man and that was its downfall( people like brainless romances like CHalte chalte, they relate to that) but in my view juhi was brilliant in it, her costumes, her comic timing. it was just perfect. I have never seen a more glossed version of juhi anywhere. shes naughty yet nice in this movie.

oh my gawd, this has to be one of the funniest hindi movies I have ever seen. its seriously so funny. juhi is hiralious as srk's other girlfriend(the other being sonali, who was surprisingly good in the movie) her curly hair and her english was just too good. and the casting was perfect, srk, farida jalal, too good. the movie just gelled

1. Jhankaar beats/My brother nikhil

these are 2 of her newest movies. and she is fantastic in both. jhankaar is this screwball comedy filled with zany people namely sanjay suri and rahul bose. juhi glows in this role, she is like this contented goddess who gives out advice and warm smiles to all in the movie, there is this scene where sanjay shouts at her, u feel really sad(i started to cry!hahahahi am such a wuss)but her relationship with sanjay is just magical, they are so in love.

which brings us to my brother nikhil, where they play siblings. juhi is this supportive sister who stands by him when he diagnosed with aids. she just brings so much of warmth and strength to her character that u wish for a sister like that. purab kohli is also a revelation in this movie as the gay lover.the casting for this movie is also perfect, strong actors who act more with their faces instead of excessive crying and shouting.its a strong movie that inspires people to live and treasure wat they have.

well thats my 5 fav juhi movies, obiviously there are a lot more- yes boss(there is this blowing scene between srk and her on some steps after the party which is just magical, the scene where they realize they are in love with each other), lootera( she looks so good in this movie and the songs are fantastic), paheli( in this small role where her pain and loss is reflected in her eyes yet she lives for her family and stands by rani throughout, the tanisq jewellery is just fantastic)
