Time for the mobiles!

These days, mobiles are not at limited to talking with the camera, video recording, WAP, bluetooth, IR, MP3 and lots of other features. One of the features that is always forgotten is the gaming. There are lots of cool Java as well as Symbian games released, and these can be played well in most of those ''better'' sets.....which removes the problem that the calls are less, as you will certainly have more things to do with your phone.....

5) MIDTOWN MADNESS 3

As long as the racing section of the mobile games is concerned, this one may be the one which rules them all, not only due to the fact that it consumes more space than the others, but also due to the large number of tracks and also the variety in the vehicle choices - you will even have an ambulance to drive (those who have played the game in PC might now - remember the city bus!).

With auto-acceleration enabled, you will be able to save your joystick from getting whacked too, unlike Need For Speed Underground for mobile. There is some cool music to support the game and there are certainly some sound effects to add to it, no wonder that my friends always keep shouting in for my mobile! I wonder if this graphics is the same or only a bit less than the first version of Midtown Madness for PC

4) EURO SPORT INDOOR GAMES

For those who loved watching Olympics and Asian games, this will be a cool option. This game allows you to earn gold, silver or bronze medals in four distinct events, Trampoline, Fencing, Table Tennis and Weight lifting. You can play for a number of available countries and you will have your chance to create a few records in this games.

As long as you are quick enough, you can get all the medals and win the games! The best thing is that this game is quite easy to follow as everything is given in detail in the help section. You will find it addictive as you keep winning those medals one by one.....and it makes it replayable too, upto an extent.....

3) FIFA 2006

I didn't find the PC version of the game too interesting as I had been playing the earlier versions of the game for years. The evolution had been much slower these days, which involved mainly the graphics only. But the mobile version really proved to be good time pass for me, as it is graphically good, and it is quite easy to get all the goals in.

Even if the controls are not too easy with the mobile keypad, the game is that much easier to play due to some dumb goal keepers. But this applies vice versa, and if you can keep them off your goal post, you are safe and closer towards winning the game. With some cool interface and some cool options to play for, this game proves to a nice choice for the sports fans.

2) SPLINTER CELL: TACTICAL OPS

As well as playing Splinter Cell in the PC I used to play the same game in my Nokia 3220 earlier, but this one named Tactical Ops (failed to work in that set) comes up with a better graphics, starting with the well-designed, stylish main menu itself. The game depends a lot on stealth as your health won't start at a big number.

With the limited health you have, you are supposed to sneak through the defence of the opponents, using more brains than key strokes this time. One wrong move from you can trigger the alarm and sometimes it may be impossible for you to live for even a second if you trigger it. This one will prove good for your brain if you are left alone with your mobile in your hand!

1) PRINCE OF PERSIA: TWO THRONES

Just like the PC version this game is one of the best experiences as you play as two different personalities of the prince, with most the features that you experience in PC including walking on the walls, chain swinging, chariot racing and also a number of acrobatic moves and combats. Even if this is still a 2-D game, it has managed to be something different than a usual 2-D game. This is a much easier game than in the PC as it took me only one day to complete the nine levels.

There is also a survival mode in the game to add to the story mode. The game has some automated controls where the most suitable action is done all by itself and also the saving process and thus this game gives less trouble even if it is in the 2-D environment. The other POP games for the PC were also cool, bu this one proved to be better. Well, who needs a PC to be a gamer nowadays?

NEED FOR SPEED: UNDERGROUND

SPLINTER CELL: PANDORA TOMORROW

PRINCE OF PERSIA: WARRIOR WITHIN
