Ups and downs are part of life. Whenever one feels down, he needs some support to recover from it and sometimes music can be a great help, as has been in my case.

I dedicate this review to a recent half century by  Glenn Mcgrawth, well known as worst batsman in the world .

In my opinion, inspirational songs are always written keeping in mind the ideal situations, or as I say, 'reel life'. However, to live, one needs some ideology and every practical is done keeping in mind the ideal conditions.Such songs always mention what one should do, although there is a lot of difference between should and would.

I think that'Kavi Pradeep' was best author for such songs, but I do wonder that what type of inspirational song he could have written today. A time comes in one's life when he needs such songs to come out of frustration. At different phases of life I have felt down and at those times, these 5 songs have helped me and they still do:-

I want to apologize in advance for grammar mistakes or if I get too boring and personal

Love is just a part of life

Due to young blood, affect of movies and love songs, I made biggest mistake of my life . That's why 2.5 years ago, almost every night was a'Gamaan di raat'. It was the time when I felt that life sucks and without love there is no life. Then I heard this gem of Kishore Da, and listened to it again and again, which taught me that love is not life, it is just a part of life.

There is much more in life than just love. One MUST live for his parents, friends, for country and for the world. And it was THIS song which helped me to move ahead in life. I don't know the name of writer but he has done such a lovely job, and I can just imagine the reason why he wrote such a song. I sincerely recommend this song to any person who is heart broken and thinks that without love there is no life.

*Jeevan mitaana hai deewaapan, koi pyaar jeewan se pyaara nahin

saare jahaan ki amaanat hai ye, ye jeewan tumhara tumhara nahin

jeene ke laakhon sahaare yahaan, bas ek hi to sahaara nahin .

.kisi ke iraadon ki khaatir jiyo, kisi ke waadon ki khaatir jiyo

hai yaadoon main jeena bhi to jindagi, jeena tumhe kyon gwaara nahin

kaisi udaasi ye kaisa hai sog, jeewan main aate hain jaate hain log

naya koi saathi mila rah main, use pyaar se kyon pukaara nahin *

(To waste life is madness, no love is more important than life. Your life belongs to the whole world, it is not just yours. There are lacs of supports to live, not just love.

Live for some one's dreams, live for promises made to someone, even to live in memories is also living, then why don't you want to live? For what is this sadness and tears, many people come and go in life, when you found a new companion in the journey of life, why didn't you called her with love?)

Support others to get support for yourself!

Due to reason stated above, sadness had become a part of life and in a way it still is.This song inspired me that if am sad, I should make others happy and their happiness will in turn make me happy. That's why am known for my sense of humor in the family and office and also know as a joker. But to know the reality of a joker, one must see'Mera naam joker':).

*Tum beshahaara ho to kisi ka sahaara bano

tumko apne aap hi sahaara mil jaayega

kashti koi doobti pahuncha do kinaare pe

tumko apne aap hi kinaara mil jayega.

.na basti main na veeraanon main

na kheton main na khalihanon main

na milta hai pyaar bazaaron main

na bikta hai chain dukaanon main

dhoondh rahe ho tum jisko, usko bahar mat dhoondho

man ke andar dhoondho, preetam pyaara mil jaayega*

(If you are without support, become support of someone else. you will automatically get the support .Take a drowning boat to shore, you will automatically get the shore. Neither love is found in crowds, nor in isolation, neither in fields, nor in farms, neither love is found in markets, nor satisfaction is found in markets. One that you are looking for, don't search for it outside, find it between your soul and you will find your love)

Walk Alone!

Being an atheist, I have faced tough times at both professional and personal level. Obviously my religious Hindu family never have liked my thoughts and lifestyle, and neither have my colleagues . I remember the time when my grandfather felt hurt, when I refused to visit temple with whole family, so I had no option but to go to'Naina Devi' temple.

Also life can't be easier in the office when your manager offers you'prasada'(holly food) and you refuse saying that you don't believe in god . However, atheism has become an essential part of my life, and is something which am proud to be. Still, it, makes life a lot tougher and I do feel alone both inside and outside home due to this. And when I feel alone, this magical song by Mukesh inspires me to walk alone in life

*Chal akela chal akela chal akela

tera mela peeche chhotha raahi, chal akela

hazaaron meel lambe raaste tujhko bulaate

yahaan dukhre sehne ke waaste tujhko bulaate

hai konsa wo insaan yahaan par jisne dukh na jhela

tera koi saath na de to tu khud se peeth jorh le

bichhona dharti ko karke are akaash orh le

yahaan poora khel abhi jeewan ka tune kahan hai khela.*

(Walk alone, walk alone, walk alone, all your nears and dears are left behind, passenger walk alone. Thousand miles long paths are calling you to go there and suffer from all sadness . Who is the one who hasn't suffered from pain and sadness in this world? If nobody supports you, become support of yourself. Make earth your bed and sky and your blanket. You still haven't played whole game of life.)

That morning will come one day

Even after 57 years of independence, I search for India that was dreams of our freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and Subhash Chandra Bose. But what I find is totally opposite, which makes me feel frustrated many times. Also being a socialist, it hurts to see our country being ruled by few rich and the poor still suffering, with people dying of hunger.

That is the time when I remember this gem by Mukesh where the writer has beautifully expressed his wait for that'morning' when we will be able to say that we have done justice to our country. Although it's an inspirational song, the use of word'kabhi' does give it a negative touch.

*wo subah kabhee to aayegee, wo subah kabhee to aayege

in kaalee sadiyon ke sar se, jab raat kaa aanchal dhalakega

jab dukh ke baadal pighalenge, jab sukh kaa saagar chhalakega

jab anbar zoom ke naachegaa, jab dharatee nagmei gaayege

jis subah kee khaatir jug jug se, hum sab mar mar kar jite hain

jis subah ke amariat kee boond mein, hum jahar ke pyaale pite hain

in bhookhee pyaasee ruhon par, yek din to karam faramayege

wo subah kabhee to aayegee*
